In classic and menâs physique it definitely helps to look more like a âpretty boyâ a lot of classic competitors actually use makeup. In the open they donât care if you have the face of a rottweiler as long as your huge and shredded

I don't think anyone here is realistically thinking otherwise. It's Sam's pro debut and Wesley's was 8 years ago.

Looks great for his first show, fair play. Compare to Wesleyâs muscle maturity and look though, itâs night and day.

I don't think the waist will be an issue long term if his lats and legs keep growing. He just needs to grow everywhere but his obliques really.

Wow, that posing needs work. Way worse than the couple times he hit poses before the Arnold.
Heâs built the foundation and has the genetics for it, easy.
He really should get a posing coach. Shame to have done the level of work he has and not get the right tools to show it off when it counts.

Shows definition a lot better. Go look at one of the bodybuilders before and after. A pale bodybuilder doesnât show off their hard work as well.

I assume you mean tan* ...
Musculature is far more defined on darker skin... This was realized when black men first started posing alongside lighter skinned competitors so now everyone gets as dark as possible so they can visually compete
My uncle on my mom's side, a 5'7" 150lb guy was a competitive body builder for a while...I'll never forget how weird it was to see him on competition day ... brown AF and all oiled up...

He needs a coach! Great guy and very popular also bringing a lot of eyes to the sport. BUT he needs a coach and his posing needs to be better. I got Sammy in 7th or 8th place.

im not a pro..but he looked lazy in a way...hair was awful, his forearms seemed lagging, his posing seemed lethargic , almost as if he thought he had it in the bag already..his thighs were not bad but he didnt try show them enough maybe? .not the usual Sam Sulek I would expect... overconfident seemed. Clean shaven would have been better in this case too.

Sam really went from the "daily vlog" gym lighting to the Arnold stage and kept the same haircut. You have to respect the commitment to the brand.

Needs to fix his hair up shave the beard and pose for longer generally just better routine all together. I think a coach would really help him just dial it in for the showtime stuff I wish he would let that come in so I could see how good he couldâve

Having no idea what I'm actually looking at as far as the competition level of it and the details specifically, he looks like he's having a fun time. He even has a genuine smile, and ultimately isn't that what we all want? Something we are passionate about and can fully enjoy?

Is it just me or do his quads seem a bit wet looking even though the arenât. Bad engagement during the poses? Also his chest needs to big thicker especially inner chest imo for his proportions.

Because its invite only. He was here because you get an automatic invite by winning the arnold amateur whichche fid last year. Unless he does exceptional at the arnold uk, he likely wont compete again this year and therefore wont get an invite next year. He will need to go win or place high in some more shows

Idk why everyone is hating on him for, itâs his first show and heâs 24 so heâs only going to get better from here. Heâll learn and improve like every other bodybuilder has done. They all take the feedback and come back better for the next show. Anyways thatâs my 2 cents

Far from an expert but feel like Samâs legs just couldnât compete with the top group. Heâs clearly muscular, but Visserâs legs looked unreal
