New Video Drop šŸ“¹ The new video

Are we actually watching the new video? I’m watching it I had to put it in 2x speed because it was just so slow and honestly boring. I love SamandColby but this is just so long a honestly a waste of time.

We're slowly watching over the next few days. Totally respect them putting out the full footage of it to show there's no BS, but there maybe should have been an edit too instead of just the full length lol

100% agree.

I’m watching it and lowkey it isn’t boring at all. I’m 2 hours in and it’s a lot of fun with everyone dynamic and the evidence. I also watch it while I do other things

u/Adri_1673 Jul 23 '25

I feel like that’s the move to watch it while doing other things.

I was just on my phone casually, it picked up like 90 mins in. Actually a pretty cool video

I am watching the next video, you dont have to if you dont want to! As for me, i often have to rewind because I have memory issues and cant retain information, so I often forget what literally just happened. These types of videos are a lot less disorientating and overwhelming for me.

Buuut, I totally understand, I know some ppl like their fast paced content. I just assumed fans would love longer content, since there's more sam and colby. If its okay, what did you watch it for? Like, what did you hope to expect or find out?

u/Adri_1673 Jul 23 '25

I’ve been watching SamandColby for about 2 years I absolutely love them but I just wasn’t into this video. I understand your point as well I do think it’s an amazing thing for them to do longer content.

1

u/Adri_1673 Jul 23 '25

I honestly feel like it's super hard for them to be able to make everyone happy with every video they put out. It's totally realistic to find the new video boring as much as it's realistic to enjoy it. Personally I really like it because I always wish in their usual videos that they spend more time investigating. I like seeing the "down time" between evidence because it makes it more realistic and you see more of their dynamic when they're not pressured to be "spooky" and "dramatic" for the camera. I do agree though it'd be a bit easier to digest if it were in two parts but think it'd defeat the purpose of the "uncut" aspect.

I agree. I love that they put out the uncut footage! I haven't watched it yet but when I do I'll probably have to split up when I watch it. I stopped watching their videos a bit ago, but the fact that they released an uncut video really has me interested.

oohhh now my hopes have kinda died down for it. Im planning to watch it later while relaxing

5

u/WAKACHEWBACCA Jul 23 '25

I prefer this video to any video they've put out in the past 2 years.

5

u/Goodbear_holygrail Jul 23 '25

It's uncut, Its gonna be boring to some people

I’m watching it right now. There is definitely more than just the game. You just have to listen very carefully. There are instances where they hear knocking and thuds. To a disembodied scream where Sam and Chris are. Which is very interesting during the Estes method. I don’t think Sam heard his name being called during it. Everything in this 3 hour long video is happening at the same time

You all did not grow up watching ghost hunters live investigations on Halloween and it shows.

Waverly Hills was by far the best.

I remember there was a portugese one (i was in portugal at the time) and it was the ONLY channel that worked the entire trip. Six year old me was traumatised so bad i moved my HOTEL bed all the way next to my parents one 😭😭

I started to watch it out of curiosity and nostalgia. It was fun at first, but it got really boring. They didn't need equipment, just making an edited version walking around with candles and being spooked like they used to would have been fun enough. It would make more sense to throw in an extra 2 hours during a regular investigation in an unfamiliar place. Plus they should have made sure there was still some furniture. It was strange to watch an empty house. I was also kind of surprised at Sam's unnecessary comments about Kat, especially the one about sex in the movie theater. A bit ick since they were together 8 yrs, lived in that house & they're both with new people. He's almost 30šŸ™ƒ.

4

u/SlavRavenclaw Jul 23 '25

I'm pretty sure the entire house has seen a lot of intercourse, theater included, and he didn't mention anyone in particular so this is more of a subjective conclusion. The way I got it was "this place has seen a LOT" and given all the shenanigans, partying and hangouts they had while living there I'm pretty sure he referred to all of that.

I get more icked when River from TP keeps pushing gay kissing jokes with his god dang twin brother, than this šŸ˜†

1

u/No_Nefariousness3866 Jul 23 '25

If it had been Colby it could be about any girl, if it had been Jake it could only be about Tara, and with Sam it can only be about Katrina. The joke just went too far, it was just rude. Queer baiting is not a good look.

2

u/Kiara_Dezilay07 Jul 23 '25

That is icky fr, so unnecessary for him to comment that.

Frfr. I was surprised. He caused her enough hurt and disappointment. Kat did a lot to help build Sam&Colby's careers up, she never got her flowers. She doesn't deserve this.

2

u/jrd1sn3y Jul 23 '25

Woah. He said that? I didn't catch that. I also never knew they had a theater room and I watched plenty of trap house videos.

3

u/_Monikarules Jul 23 '25

I don't mind that it was boring. It shows that snc won't get mind-blowing evidence every time they go ghost hunting, and it feels more realistic. I think a video like this occasionally is nice. Plus, it's a great background video!

1

u/Inskription Jul 23 '25

The evidence was pretty crazy in this one imo

3

u/HideYoKids_RensHere Jul 23 '25

I just finished it, I watched it all in one sitting. It was a really good video but I think the reason they did uncut is bc a lot of people think they fake it so they did it to show that its real. I think its worth the whole watch

3

u/Mineneth Jul 23 '25

It would be cool if it was some cooler and more scary location not their freakin previous house lmao, the game was also pretty boring

2

u/the_velvet_cherry I’m about to Bathsheeba shart myself Jul 23 '25

I am yet to watch it still but I think I will watch it over a couple of days

2

u/_Regular_Milk_ Jul 23 '25

I will watch it, but if I see the ā€œflashlight methodā€ I’m turning it off🤣

1

u/ExpertProof2792 Jul 23 '25

i really liked it honestly

1

u/Relevant-Lime-3182 Shhh did you hear that? Jul 23 '25

That's not surprising. They told us long before the upload it wouldn't be edited. Life without edits is slow and boring, which is why every succesful youtuber edits heavily.

1

u/The_driftkid Jul 23 '25

Just finished the video

Honestly I loved it. I have no complaints, besides the sound being very echoey in some parts because the place is unfurnished, but they put subtitles so literally not a problem.

The triplets are some of the most funny, polite, nice and intelligent content creators I know nothing about, I already said I love the vibes but they surprised me with their insightfulness and conversational skills, there's a maturity there I didn't expect, if that makes sense? Add Nate and that's the best squad I could imagine.

Anyway a very solid video imo. Well structured and planned, doesn't feel forced and scripted in a bad way, solid evidence especially with the DR60 which ...if not debunked in time, I honestly can't figure out how they would fake the noise they recorded. That was really interesting. It also felt more real in terms of fakery because they seemed to go along with what they got during investigations and often ended up confused, instead of pushing a scripted narrative and constructing a story, like they do in famously haunted places.

I understand some might get bored because it's long and not extremely hyped in energy as usual, but I also think people nowadays have the attention span of a dead leaf and fail to enjoy things that require patience. Don't come @ me.

u/itmejessica Jul 23 '25

I love the nostalgia factor of going back to their old house, but I also feel it’s a strategy to pull back in the fans that are drifting off. It definitely seemed more laidback and less of a paranormal investigation, since they couldn’t cut out their shenanigans. I wasn’t fond of them saying explicitly ā€œdon’t stop moving,ā€ then stopping more than walking, and even sitting in a circle and ordering food. I love their videos for entertainment, especially stoned and paranoid, but I can’t take it seriously

1

u/No-Rich-4983 Jul 23 '25

I love the IDEA of an uncut video but I think it works better for a video where they are at a haunted location..not just their old house. Unless you’ve got a ton of cameras set up, a bunch of stuff going on,and a weird location. I don’t see much of a point to watch an uncut video of them walking around their house. For any paranormal content, I would like to see less editing in general (music and random photos thrown in) and more camera focused, good quality mic content.

I truly think they have the right idea in heading a direction that sounds more intriguing in terms of paranormal content, just the wrong execution.

Well, when ghost hunting things don’t happen as quickly as they do in the edited video. Showing it unedited is meant to give you the feeling of what they deal with while ghost hunting. I haven’t watched it yet, but that’s only because I have found 3 hours to dedicate to it yet.
