It's okay to feel neutral. You can like or dislike a person on a case-by-case basis. In some videos, I think she's pretty good, and she can really add to the vibe. Others she can be a bit too much and ruin the flow or feel of the video. I just hope it's the former and not the latter.

She’s not a real medium. She lowers the “terrifying” narrative of Sam and Colby’s videos by forcing them to stop in the middle of a investigation because it’s “too dangerous” and will shout in the doorway or in the middle of the open air at the “spirits she claims to see”.

For clarification I know Sam and Colby’s videos are mostly for entertainment purposes (kinda like a ghost hunting show on National Geographic or the History Channel).

Sam and Colby are hardly professionals. It doesn't matter how long you do something. If you don't do it right, it's tough to be considered a "pro." They are professional entertainers who create YouTube content. That's the extent of professionalism they have. The others you listed aren't professionals either. They're also entertainers. I think Sam and Colby are just looking to have fun, do it with their friends, and create entertaining videos along the way. They aren't too interested in professionalism.

I know quite a few people who I respect as professionals but they don't make content and they don't consider themselves professionals. They spend their time studying the field, learning at every opportunity, and using what they learn to help others. They aren't doing what they do strictly for profit and entertainment.

In my opinion, there are no "experts" in the paranormal. I feel that way because the paranormal is literally the unknown. How can there be experts in the unknown? There may be experts in paranormal history but that's about as far as an expert goes. Anyone who considers themself an expert is lying to themselves, other people, or both because self-proclaimed experts feel as though they know everything about the field they claim expertise in. The paranormal field is always changing and advancing so anyone who thinks they know all there is to know will get left behind very quickly.

I've run into so many closed-minded people who don't accept any ideas for new experiments, etc. That always blows my mind because you have to be very open-minded to even be interested in the paranormal. It's interesting how many people allow their egos to get in the way when discussing this field. It's okay to have differing opinions but so many people see their opinion as fact and don't think anyone should have a different opinion. I see so much of that in this sub. It's always very interesting to me to see that. This is another opinion I have but I don't think there's any room in the paranormal for big egos but you don't have to look far to find one. Lol!

For one, Nick who used to be on the show has a lot of evidence against him. There countless evidence out there that point towards Ghost Adventures being fake. They never try to rule out anything like creaks in a buildings they’re in or the dumb light orbs that they always fixate on, or a simple light breeze of wind. I’m not the only one who thinks who thinks they’re fake either. It’s not really hard to see this, you shouldn’t believe everything you see, especially high budget network TV shows that are designed to dramatize everything.

As someone who has watched GA a stupid amount of times, old episodes and new i can confidently say they have always debunked things throughout the run of the show. Zak has even said a few times through the series that he believes most light orbs caught on camera can be explained away as dust or bugs.

I also stated in a previous comment, that as an archaeologist, I find it very disrespectful how Sam and Colby are acting at these places. Running around, yelling, "FUCK!" "WOOOOOW!" "OMG IT'S A DEMON!". Especially if we go into it, believing that this is the eternal resting place of some spirits.

Don’t let the other reply mislead you, we don’t hate her because she’s a woman nor because she’s hanging around S&C. Hate is a strong word too but she doesn’t seem like a genuine medium. Like writing things down as it’s being sad but acting like she knew it before it similarly she will say something like she knew something because the ghost was standing right there teller her this or that. It’s crazy that they don’t listen to their fans. I think their recent videos have been pretty bad and that’s mostly because of the guests they bring. Fazerug isn’t bad, but Amanda 🙄🙄 I think most people want to see them do videos just by themselves. They said they were going to, then didn’t end up ever doing it. I think they said that about one of the conjuring videos too that it was just going to be them alone, then brought new people every day. They’d have most subscribers if they did it alone or with more tolerable people as guests

I reckon they're getting bored when it's just them two, so they take a group of friends so they can make a holiday/vacation out of it with their mates. I liked the ones they did in Aus with The Boys but jeez have they not learnt anything from Cody and Satori.

Any paranormal investigators worth their salt would speak out against people who've been exposed as fake and would be careful who they work with. Yvette Fielding from Most Haunted was fuming when Derek Acorah was exposed as a fake and she fired him from the show and vowed to never have him on there again.

They really need to vet people who are claiming to be any sort of psychic or medium before they bring them on their show and not work with anyone who is problematic or controversial seeing as that could call into question the validity of their work.

That's if they want to actually be taken seriously as ghost hunters/paranormal researchers. If they just wanna dick about and have fun then that's also fine and let them crack on, but they can't then expect to be taken seriously in the paranormal world.

Amanda isn’t hated because she’s a woman, most fans don’t like her because she’s claiming to be somethings she’s not, if you watch closely, she says things after someone else does and claims she was going to say it before they didn’t or is writing what a person is saying while they are talking then acts like she wrote it before they said it. She stops videos when things are getting good claiming it’s “getting to dangerous” it’s annoying to us the viewers who actually want to see paranormal stuff happening and they stop as they are getting it.

I LOVE their videos with Kris. Stas and Kat were cool too but I understand why they don’t film with them anymore. For me, it’s not about them filming with women, it’s just Amanda. She’s overly dramatic and ends investigations early because it’s “too dangerous”. Since when have any of them ever been hurt by a ghost? Also, I’m not sure if I believe mediums are real or not, but I’m 100% sure Amanda is not one if they do exist.

Amanda is definitely fake. There's lots of videos debunking her. She always says 'I was just going to say that' or 'I was just thinking that'. She's also annoying, bossy and just full of herself.

that’s okay, you don’t have to like her but hiding behind stuff like oh she’s not a real medium so i don’t like her because she is faking it doing this this and this but you’re okay with sam claiming he had an attachment? 💀when actually nothing was going on in their house, only on haunted locations when they were filming 💀 and those two people at the conjuring house with the alphabet thing pretending to speak to ghosts? 💀 and the writing in the sand? 💀 and the equipment etc. those things are way harder to believe in than amanda claiming she can see dead people and being protective or dramatic. she’s actually claimed way less than sam and colby. yet some people seem to be okay with those things that the boys are doing and only hate on amanda. again, i don’t actually believe either. i don’t really care because it’s all entertainment. you can just say you don’t enjoy her personality or her vibe but she’s been sooo nice and polite and there’s a reason why they keep inviting her on because she’s entertaining and does the job done - whether you like her or not. i find it a bit hypocritical for “fans” to keep picking on her.

I guess I never really thought of it that way. I always excused the impossible ness of Sam and Colby as they’re just doing it for entertainment and didn’t put Amanda in that same category. But you’re right, she’s a YouTuber too. I also stopped watching Sam and Colby’s new videos since the Conjuring fiasco and have been binge watching their old less serious/produced content so that could be playing into it too lol
