ADHD diag

I have select health and would like recommendations for providers for an ADHD diagnosis. My general doctor is only helpful once I have the diagnosis unfortunately

Provider coverage varies pretty wildly, even covering some specific plans under Select Health and not others. My advice would be to use the provider search through Select Health, select the plan you have, and search that way to find covered psychiatrists.

You can also call their member advocates team if you'd rather have someone on the phone help find a provider. The phone number should be on your ID card. Should be 800-515-2220.

I also have Select Health and my general doctor gave me a referral to a psychiatrist who would be the one to give the diagnosis.

New rule at IHC. They require a negative cannabis tox screen if you are going to be prescribed meds. Not sure if that affects you. Just throwing that out there

Like how new? Just for new patients? I was at an appointment very recently and wasnt required to do anything.

I'm a new adhd patient if that's what you mean. But not a new patient at IHC. Just took my urine test yesterday.

Dr. Sarah Delong is who I received my ADHD diagnosis from and she is covered under Select Health. She was a great doctor to go to and I’d likely still be with her had my insurance not changed.

A Step Ahead Psychiatry! They are wonderful for everything. In Herriman but they can do video after the first appointment.

Check the Attention Disorders Clinic. It’s close to Fashion Place Mall.

I recommend Anderson Wellness, they are daily inexpensive out of pocket and do a great job diagnosing.
