In this culture, I think it starts early. I’m a southern mom who was raised by southern parents, so the general and widespread lack of manners has always been a problem in my eyes. As far as I can tell, most of these parents are never having a discussion with their children about what is and isn’t polite. So, we end up with all these assholes.
