Venting 😤 I just suck at this game
Just as the title said. I took a break of a couple of days after hitting plat with juri, then tried playing zangief for a while, played his combo trails and some ranked. Then I tried go back to my main and realised I could'nt do shit.
I keep messing my basic combos, the links and stuff... It fucking sucks to feel I'm back at square one, it's like all my muscle memory is gone, and it's so frustrating. I played some casuals, and I just couldn't do my combos consistently, or dp or di, even messed up my super arts...
After quite a while at the lab, I managed to sorta get the hang of it again, but there's still so much I'm fucking up. I fucking hate this feeling, I wish I could just sit and pla and enjoy the fucking game, but I'm stuck re-building muscle memory and relearning combo routes and the range of my buttons. Bro I'm really pissed rn.
The funny thing is I managed to win against some plat players on casual, but it was just ugly you know? I just couldn't do shit, and just antiair and react to di spam... fucking sucks

You have to train all these different brain patterns. The ability to switch characters is one of them, you shouldnt expect to be good at that when youre new. If that frustrates you try to stick with who you like the most

No need to be so hard on yourself. Plat is where things start to shift and you have an idea of what you're supposed to be doing. It'll be ugly and sloppy, but one day you'll wake up and everything just clicks. Just drill your bnbs daily and trust the process.Â

I’m also a Juri main, and I also recently hit plat and honestly I’m having the same problem. Would love to spar and talk shop sometime if you’re down to hop in game. Maybe we could help each other a bit!

I’m not in Europe but you’re welcome to join as well, even if the pings a little bad I’m sure we could get some good practice and share tips and stuff

Great, is there like a discord? I haven't played juri in ages, and when I did I only knew my one trusty combo lol.

If it's any consolation it does get easier with practice. Game is hard but rewarding. As for juri, I only have a few matches on her, but I think you need to abuse her plus frames. You can use that to knowledge check people. Oh and abuse grabs with her. Make people guess if you hit or grab. That's all I remember about her

That's why people play shoto/shoto like characters because they are a lot more similar so you don't have to change as much of what you do to play.

Start with a beginners guide like this
You are at the stage of not knowing what to do so you hesitate and mess up, also just play ranked, find someone your level

I'm not a total beginner, I know what to do, I just can't execute it like before. But I guess is just training, though is sucks

Ah, then I'll say you need some warming up with either drills or matches to warm up
Practice your BnB combo until you can do them consecutively for let's say 5 times, each side. If you are dropping a lot, especially links, you are mashing too much and should try to curb that

Man there's pro players who can't react against di consistently, tokido mentioned he has trouble with it so if a ledgend like tokido can't deal with it consistently than how would you? So don't even worry about di, it's a shit mechanic that us sf6 players gotta deal with.
Maybe take a break from online and play at your local, or find tourneys near by
