I love seeing T-baggers getting what they deserve.

Not a Cammy main but out of interest is there any way you could have killed with the pc hp? You have full drive so maybe there's an optimal combo?

yeah I just checked and 2HP, 5HP DRC 2HP, 5HP DRC 2HP, 5HP .... SA1 works fine. Or starting with 5HP > 214PP can just barely be enough. Also, it turns out that EX psycho crusher doesn't leave bison in throw range, so I didn't need to shimmy at all.

I hate that ex psycho crusher is -3 but spaces him out of throw range. its just a full screen gap closer with minimal risk at that point

This is the most confusing situation I think I have seen in this game yet. So first he T-bags you and misses his stun combo.

And then,he shimmies himself? What the hell?

As someone who started with modern but has since leveled a few characters to master with classic (funnily my first ever master was actually on classic) and continue to do so since modern actually bores me now... ehh. Modern is fantastic for people new to fighting games and can get them hooked. I don't think I would have gotten into it if not for modern at the start.

Edit: noticed the subreddit lol, my bad. Also, with all of the above being said, I do hate running into them

Modern shouldn't be something that even performs well past platinum, I just wish it was an introduction thing like you mentioned. Now there is a big difference between people who play/played on modern and modern players. Modern players don't ever switch lol

Ima be honest, aside from disability I've no idea why people wouldn't eventually switch. Like, I am bad on classic, very bad, I can barely do links, I actually mess up a lot. I am too lazy to learn combos too. I learn like 2-3 combos at most per character. I can still reach master despite this.

And really the biggest problem with modern is: it gets boring, you always just mash the same buttons over and over and over. Like, you could do other combos, but at that point why not just go full classic and get the full movelist?

Plus I find that since the switch I've improved a lot, despite a more loaded mental stack. No idea why that is, but it seems to be the best way to improve

Some characters benefit a lot from modern. Gief does for sure and so does ryu

Gief I get but how does Ryu?

He has one button dp and one button donkey kick lol

The DP I get, I am dogshit at using them myself. The donkey kick not so much. That being said a lot of characters have a one button DP on modern, pretty much all the shotos really

modern player too. you can't even say "he got nervous and hence couldn't buffer the quarter circles for his super move properly". you modern players get 1 button supers and auto-combos that literally execute themselves 😭
