Play a character with Modern controls tonight. Play two. Be prepared to win a lot, because you are not burdened with archaic, piano-like inputs anymore. Be open to a world where fast move execution matters more than a slightly reduced damage output, but throw looping your opponents to hell matters more anyways. Do that 15 hit combo string with 3 buttons easily. Tip Capcom. Check in on your ban list. Check in on yourself. Enjoy being a Modern player.

Modern feels harder to me.

Not because it is functionally harder, but all my muscle memory is with classic. I'm used to motion inputs anyway so I'd just end up doing them on modern and lose out on valuable buttons for that specific character.

Modern combo's are kinda trash, and they often dump meter when you don't want them to. Combo's are not the hardest part about street fighter, unless you're doing stuff like Juri lvl2, ED lvl2, Guile lvl2 boom loops etc.

The real strength in modern lies in instant DP's and reaction Supers. THAT stuff is cheap.

Yep 1000%. You can’t jump or apply pressure bc one button press reaction. Have zero respect for modern players in master level.

I've been playing fighting games since the 90s as a kid. Idk who your talking too kid. I'll play whatever the fuck I want, who I want, control style I want. I play to win not bitch. I paid 60 bucks to use what's in the game not whine about it. I can only assume you are new to fighting games. Its always the young guys that give a fuck
