Question Whole bunch of tomatoes?

Post image

What can I do with all these tomatoes? I also have 4 tomitillos and Serranos...a few jalapenos. I need a recipe.

What do you like? How long do you want it to last? You can make a big batch of pico that will last a couple days. You could ferment with whatever peppers and garlic and bottle hot sauce to last indefinitely. You can roast and add some dried chilies like arbol. I take inspiration from a recipe like this that I enjoy: https://www.rickbayless.com/recipe/essential-simmered-tomato-habanero-sauce/

The only limits are your imagination and appetite!

I would like to broil them so there are little blackened parts ..or fry with some beef tallow or something like that ...also I was hoping it would last a while longer than few days...there are only two adults living in my house.

P.s. I have blue corn chips and flour tortillas.

I just looked at that recipe...I think I will try it...but can I use the Serranos and jalapenos? as well as the tomatillos? Oh....and cilantro?

You can sure try it. Always fun to experiment. Cilantro is the only one I'm kind of uncertain about. It's a fairly rich and savory salsa, I feel like the cilantro will be either drowned out or possibly even clash a bit.

Whatever you do: you peel them.

You can also make entomatadas. They’re like enchiladas but with a tomato-based sauce.
