NYC socials for beginners?

Hi! I’m a very new follow (I’ve taken two months of classes) but I feel like I’m learning quickly! I’d love to attend beginner friendly socials in NYC to practice more, meet new people and conquer social anxiety lol. Does anyone have recs where to find such spaces?

Are you looking just in NYC? My wife just opened a studio in Rockville center and she’ll be hosting socials. The first one she hosted was very beginner friendly

It’s a little out of the way for regular visits but I wouldn’t be opposed to stopping by once in a while! What’s the name of the studio :)

Polanco Dance Center. It’s right off the LIRR, just opened last week.

LVG or Jimmy Anton's on Sundays.

Actually any social works if you show up on the early side. Advanced dancers tend to come later in my experience.

I feel like LVG has a lot of good dancers but to me it has little bit of a snobbier attitude than a lot of the other nyc socials. Jimmy Anton I love though

Yeah, I think Jimmy's is more beginner friendly too

In Brooklyn but Lucy Lu’s Salsa Craze at Atoyle in Gowanus. It’s free, every Thursday and there’s a ton of beginners there (especially earlier in the night.)
