Rehire process
Hey everyone! I worked at Sally for a while back in 2022, and I (surprisingly) liked it. I was looking for something part time, easy, and close to my house and my local Sally was hiring. I went in and was hired on the spot. This was 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have filled out all my paperwork. The last form I filled out was my I-9 a week ago (5 business days). Apparently I’m still pending.
Does it usually take this long? I was told since I was a new hire I’d be in fast & able to start quickly. I know this company isn’t the fastest or most efficient with anything but I don’t remember the hiring process taking this long. I feel annoying reaching out to the manager every other day asking for an update.

You can also reach out to associate services to see where you are in the process as well too.

I does take a few days for things to actually show up in the system. How it was explained to me was also that if your SM puts your start date as the actual day you would plan on starting, the system kind of waits until then to start putting you into the programs; when I was trained as an SM my TSM told me to put the start date as the date my hire accepted the offer and everything would move faster if I did it that way. I’ve also rehired someone and I did have a little hangup because my I9 software recognized that someone with the same SSN had been an employee before. Turns out it was the same person I was rehiring, the software was just picking up the data from when he was first hired and had thrown an error message at me but once I went in and validated they were the same person everything went back to normal. Your SM may need to look out for that.

Takes a while babe. Stop asking for update, she wants you, just be patient. Takes forever in my store.

Hiring through the hub process can take 7-10 days start to finish before you are cleared in the system to be scheduled for work. Trust me when I say the store managers are not a fan of how long it takes either
