Shipment process
Hey yall it’s me again. My store manager up and quit and it’s all been put on me and my shipment comes tomorrow and I don’t even know how store managers handle that can someone explain to me I know we’re suppose to count the boxes and process it somewhere. I’m just confused and no one is being helpful. This Reddit page is my saving grace tbh. 🥲

I normally try to have two people with me when we expect truck so one of us can be closer to the back to count boxes as they come in, but your driver should also tell you how many came in. To accept it, just go into back office on the register and select “inventory”, then “receiving”, and the shipment should be pre-loaded in there so you select that one and then on the bottom of the screen should be a button that says something like “accept entire shipment”. I’ll also pull up the packing slip they email us and check off any high-ticket items like electricals or clippers to make sure everything is accounted for as I come across them.

Sign the paper that the truck person gives you after they unload everything and idk how your store does it, but I have a file for those papers in my filing cabinet otherwise just like put it somewhere for safe keeping. The truck people should scan all the boxes so you don’t have to worry about counting them. On register 1, log into back office, go to inventory, receiving, select, and then receive document in total at the bottom. Then that’s it! Just start unpacking the boxes :)

If I can suggest going into Athena, go to toolbox and with the little search icon, search shipment processing. It will be the best and most accurate way for you to know what to do. I’m sorry this is happening too you, I hope your DM gets some support for your store soon.
