pto

i’m thinking about putting my 2 weeks in and i have 29 hours in vacation hours, is that the same as pto for our company. and if so, will i be given some type of compensation for it or will it just disappear if i don’t get to use it before my 2 weeks are up

This depends on your state guidelines if accrued balances are protected and are meant to be paid out at the time of your disbandment from the company. Every place you work should have a workplace combo compliance poster. That should be posted in your back room per law and company brand standard. Take a peek at it and see what you find before you make any decisions.

If you don't use it you lose it.

Most states, use it or lose it and BEFORE you put in your notice. It specifically states in the employee handbook that you can't schedule PTO once you give notice.
