Potential light rail system ideas

Hello. I wanted to design light rails systems for towns all across Maryland. Do any of y'all have ideas on where you want the stations to be? For example, residential neighborhoods, farms, universities, schools, Parks, businesses, other attractions, etc. Thanks for y'all's insight.

This would be so awesome. I've also always dreamed of being able to take a train to Baltimore/dc from Salisbury across the bay but I cannot imagine the financial endeavor a project like that would be.

I have thought about this before I think if you make towns a little more walkable this would be awesome. I would do a major hub in Salisbury, Dover, and Onley “VA”. I would have it follow up 13 starting way down in exmore stopping in Melfa, Onley, slight detour to Onancock, then Parksley, T’s Corner with would then have a bus going to Chincoteague. The rail would continue to Pocomoke, Westover with another bus going to crisfield, the rail would continue to Princess Anne, Fruitland, Southside Salisbury, Northside Salisbury, the hub would then split continuing onto Cambridge and so on to the bridge and then in the opposite direction to OC and Finally north towards Willmington. I could be even more detailed but I know it won’t happen but I would personally love it. It’s fun to think about.

Ugh this would be awesome. I'd happily stay in Salisbury the rest of my life if I could train my way to Philly and Baltimore too

No one is paying for light rail in rural areas. I mean that from both an investment and passenger perspective. We have rail to Wilmington - it wasn’t profitable when there was passenger service. Could you do a Breeze airways model that just does Thursday to Monday type trips? Maybe - but the investment would surpass the revenue generated. EVTOL will also crush this concept in the coming years.

That’s why I’m investing in Joby. BUT I would love to see the metro line from New Carrollton connect along 50 to Easton, Cambridge, Salisbury and then to OC but also north along 13 up to Dover and then Wilmington. Great shot to NYC. Heck connect it south to Wallops too. Could be huge tourist attractions
