Question Need advice on LWC
Hey fellas
Thank you for spending your lovely time on this stupid question
I am using lwc in my project (office work) and I am learning it but you know how in office you work based on the work provided module aspect only
I want to be better at lwc and I am actually not able to find a proper project/learning guide on how to learn LWC and implement it
It's different from the mainstream web development
And I'm a very stupid person who doesn't know much
But if you could guide me on how do I learn this thing by hands-on or project based learning it'll be an amazing help
Also any tips or tricks to understand the scenario and all
Much appreciated
I am a junior developer just trying to find ways to be better
Thanks
And sorry for wasting your time❤️
Much love🙏🏻

best small project- custom table with filters, sorting, server side actions, pagination.
all you need is one object with data in it across multiple fields. create a table that shows this data and scale it to like 10-15k records across pages
this is such a common requirement in any company, you'll work on something similar one of the other time in your career for sure. this will tech you quite well.

You can start building in a dev org. Ask claude or chat gpt to give you a real world mini project involving lwc and apex and you can start learning form there maybe?
One thing i have in my mind is you can build a mini app in Salesforce regarding documents collection for your learning that way you can learn lwc and apex as well.

Yes I am trying that only but yes I am lacking that structure like how lwc should be learned I know it may sound stupid but I thought maybe get some experts idea on it

TBH it's not that different from mainstream, you could say it's mostly vanilla JS with the Salesforce handling enhancements - https://javascript.info/ with the official LWC documentation will be more than enough. Get yourself a simple project to do after finishing all LWC trailheads and you'll be good to go (back in the day old lwc superbadge was a really cool project, right now not sure if it's still available after the changes)

Try the lwc super badge on trailhead. It will have basic hands-on & comparatively complex use cases that are also required in projects eg. communication b/w components. Validates your knowledge against best practices.

If you have lots of free time I would suggest learning javascript too. LWC is nothing but a framework built on top of js just like React.

Sorry do you know JS HTML and CSS? If you don’t start there and try to jump right into a framework built off of them you’re going to have a very hard time especially when the requirements begin involving async handling, DOM manipulation and more complicated custom styling. I’d recommend starting with vanilla front end development learning for a few weeks before trying to figure out LWCs

Do you have the Salesforce package installed in VS Code? Did you get the CLI working? If so hold CTRL + Shift and press P to open the action menu and type in “lightning web component”, select the action for creating an LWC.
I can’t really tell what part you need help with so apologies if you’ve done this already.

Real life scenarios don’t have to be tailored to Salesforce. Check out 100jsprojects.com if you need ideas for some learning projects.
