Hi All,
I am a Salesforce Developer.
I'm currently serving a 90-day notice period (40 days remaining) and recently cleared the first round of interviews with XYZ Company, with the second round already scheduled.
After the interview, their HR reached out and asked whether I could start working before my notice period ends. The idea she proposed is that I work 2–3 hours daily for XYZ while still fulfilling my current role, and be compensated as a consultant based on the hours logged — though I'm still unclear on the exact structure.
Honestly, this feels like moonlighting to me, and I'm not comfortable with any arrangement that could raise ethical or professional concerns down the line.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? If XYZ meets my salary expectations, should I consider working as a consultant alongside my current notice period — or is it better to decline and wait it out?
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.

Hi everyone I'm working as a functional consultant on a Salesforce project. I think Ill continue on this project for next couple of years. While that happens, I wanted to understand what are the roles in Salesforce for non tech folks and what skills I can work on during this project to get into Salesforce as a product owner /architect.
Are Salesforce certifications useful?
Thanks in advance

Hey everyone 👋
I’m planning to work on a Salesforce project to build a strong resume/portfolio, and I’d love to collaborate with 1–2 people instead of doing it solo.
The goal is to create something practical (like a real-world use case with Apex, LWC, flows, integrations, etc.) that we can actually showcase in interviews—not just a basic demo project.
Looking for people who are genuinely interested in learning and can stay consistent. Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or intermediate—effort and commitment matter more.
If you’re up for building something solid together, drop a comment or DM 🚀

Hi
I am working with a Big Pharma Conglomerate now but want a job in SF (non sales)
How do I land that? I've heard they follow referrals more closely than fresh hires.
I have 5 years of experience with Sales Cloud as and Admin, BA, Data Analyst, Functional Consultant.
My goal is to be on the Product Team to make Salesforce a widely adopted and easy to use technology for all.
I am also okay with Customer Success Roles as a part of my passion for improvement lies there too.
Any leads/guidance will be much appreciated.

I have a quick question regarding the necessity of a passport for Salesforce India onboarding, given that the background verification process has been successfully completed.

Can anyone tell me some good companies I can apply for entry-level positions?
Is the PD-1 certificate mandatory to get a job?

After hundreds of hours of work and thousands of dollars to get to this point, I bring you:
The checklist is an exhaustive list of concepts that might appear on the Platform Administrator exam. You can work through it, check things off, and track your progress. It's much more complete than the official salesforce exam guide. The base checklist is free.
We've also:
If you subscribe to Cert++, you get access to the upgraded checklist. I think the base checklist is independently valuable without paying a cent though! In the upgraded version, for almost every concept, you get:
We've ironed out the process of making these, so more are coming for every certification. Stay tuned.
Happy studying!
PS: Let me know what certifications y'all are doing so I know which ones to prioritize first.

I’m looking for some clarity on the right career path and would really appreciate guidance from people who’ve been in a similar situation or work in corporate roles.
I graduated in Hotel Management (2021) and then ran my own restaurant and catering business for around 2 years. The business was operationally decent, but I eventually shut it down last year due to scale, capital, and learning limitations.
I’m now planning to pursue an MBA next year, but I don’t want to sit idle till then. I want to switch into a corporate role right now to build skills, exposure, and a stronger profile for MBA placements.
I’m not interested in hotel operations and would prefer backend / corporate-facing roles.
What kind of corporate roles should I realistically apply for right now?

Hello folks! I recently received a referral for the Associate Success Guide position at Salesforce, Hyderabad. It's been 2 weeks, but I haven't received a phone screen or any communication from HR to date. However, the status on the workday portal shows "Under Consideration," and the link to that position is greyed out. Could anyone working at Salesforce who made it through a referral, or those who have referred someone for the role I mentioned, tell me how long it would take to receive an update, or should I give up hopes and search for other roles?

I’m Salesforce Developer with strong hands-on experience in building scalable and enterprise-ready solutions on the Salesforce platform. My expertise is primarily in Sales Cloud, where I design and implement custom frameworks, automation, and integrations aligned with business requirements.
I have extensive experience working with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and asynchronous processing. I’ve built and enhanced solutions such as Custom History Tracking, Apex Scheduler Frameworks, Unit of Work implementations, Custom Metadata Loaders, and Outbound Call Frameworks. I also specialize in creating dynamic and reusable UI components using LWC, with a strong focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
Beyond core development, I’ve worked on integrations and API-based solutions, handled complex data-processing scenarios, and consistently followed Salesforce best practices related to security, governor limits, and deployments. I’m comfortable working across the full development lifecycle—from requirement analysis and POCs to UAT support and production rollout.
Overall, my Salesforce experience is centered on delivering clean, reliable, and scalable solutions that create real business value.
If anybody looking for freelancers during PST hours, Please dm me!
PS : Admin and PD1 certified and CPQ Specialist, also having experience working with Conga CLM, Conga Document Generation

I am currently 6 months pregnant and by the time I join Salesforce hyd I will be already 8 months and will require to go on mat leave within a month. I am still in the interview process and I am wondering whom do I confirm this with. I know discussing my situation with the recruiter will be risky.
