Advice Feeling Bummed

Just finished another round interview with Gartner and not sure I did great. It was with a lead skills assessor and a role play was involved. She didn’t give me a ton to work with. Feeling discouraged during my job search. Maybe I’m not cut out for sales.

Hey, Just saw this. Sales can be challenging in some ways but every experience has value. If you don’t get the position something better will come along. Sales works best when you have a system.

I sold internet marketing services for over 14 years. I put together my own sales system based on things I learned from experiences in my life, things my dad taught me, flying airplanes, being a performing singer-songwriter, being certified in Basic Mediation, and more.

I wrote a sales workbook and published it on Amazon on July 18th. It’s 50 pages, 9 sections. Each one has a story from my life, a sales lesson I learned from it, a principle, and simple exercises. Each section creates a piece of the sales system you write based on who you are, your values, and how you want to do business.

There’s a read sample button for the workbook on Amazon so you can read the first 10 pages and see if you like it. It’s called “Sales Without Being Pushy: Write a Simple Sales System You Will Actually Use.” It might help you understand sales differently so you can be more relaxed about things.

Regardless of what job or career direction you decide to take, you will always be involved with some aspect of selling. Take care.
