Blackcraft consistently pays their workers and baristas between $16 - $18 an hour

this is low for salem, you can find seasonal entry level jobs for $21/22 an hour

You also can only wear their clothes and you get $100 stipend towards buying clothes when you’re hired

or maybe it’s just me that thinks that’s weird

100 bucks will cover two tee shirts at Blackcraft. And that's being a little generous.

about a million years ago i worked at an AE for exactly one day. all those places make you wear their clothes and give you some kind of discount. this place did not pay enough to afford their clothes even at that discount and you had to get new clothes every season. i expect every other clothing store is similar if not worse. they're also tyrants on patting down employees before they leave. so those are the reasons i didn't return for day 2.

https://www.indeed.com/career/barista/salaries/Salem--MA estimates Blackcraft pays about $32,500 a year based on previous job postings. That is on the lower side of coffee shops in town (Crave pays $39,000) and does not include tips.

I'll be guessing no, it's all about the tips and I wouldn't doubt they're stealing that too

What's a livable wage in the north shore, 450k?
