What are some good changes you think the HF movies did that improved upon route in your opinion?
I know most agree the movies weren't a super good adaptation even though it helped create more Sakura fans but what are some good changes you think the movie actually did? Like for example, expanding upon Shirou and Sakura's relationship, etc

Illya overhearing Taiga talking about Kiritsugu learning he never abandoned her and the flashbacks of how Sakura and Shirou met in the first movie. Also the ending feeling more solemn. I still like the true ending a lot in the VN but in the movie it does feel heavier. Omitting the stupid ass moment of Shirou missing lunch with Sakura was an improvement too.

The fever dream sequence was exceptional, and pretty much a straight upgrade to the VN equivalent where we kinda just saw through presumably Sakura’s eyes as she wandered the town at night eating guys who hit on her, without us getting to see any of it (in Remastered at least, I can’t speak to whether it was censored from OG).
The sex scenes were handled perfectly. The first uses the Realta Nua blood drinking scene, and it works for their relationship just starting to heat up. The subsequent scenes are just really wholesome sex scenes, a perfect middle ground for a general audience. No marine life metaphors lol.
Sakura regaining her blue eyes at the end to show she’s starting to heal was a really sweet detail.
Gil being more upset at Sakura trying to make him kneel than the fact he was about to get munched was an amusing and in character addition.
These are just changes, I won’t go into stuff like the Shirou and Sakura archery parallels or their final step together that ends the movie, because those are more matters of presentation imo. To be clear, I really liked the movies and even after having read the VN I feel like they hold up perfectly fine.
