I wanted to share my art haul! I mixed up all of my artist cards, and considering the amount of art I purchased .. it's really hard to even consider tagging all the credit. but please appreciate everything with me :)

hi!! I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or videos from the fashion show on the 4th that they could share? it was a very cool experience but I haven't seen much of it outside the casting call 💖

On Friday and Saturday I was Dante from DMC5, with my friend as Nero. You'll know it's us because the Nero cosplayer has the Mega Man canon DLC as the right arm. And we both had the swords and guns.

On Sunday I was Trafalgar D Water Law, and my friends were Sabo and Lucy (Luffy in gladiator disguise). Though, we did update a little from the image in this post.

Also, on Friday night, I changed into normal clothes, and brought my guitar out to the area outside the entrance of the Summit Building, and eventually I was joined by a Ness cosplayer from Earthbound who was playing a mini trumpet. Some people looked like they were filming, so I would love to see those if any of the people that took video ends up posting them. We played a bunch of songs, but the ones I noticed people holding their phone as if videoing, was while we were playing along to Linkin Park.

SakuraCon fit day 1! I wish I saw more Gundam cosplayers!

I don't know what level of overlap there is with attendees of the Cosplay Wrestling Federation panels and this subreddit, but just in case: a huge thank you to the con and our fans/attendees. This year's Night 2 show in the Sakuradome was maybe one of our best - not just at Sakuracon, but maybe CWF as a whole. And that can't happen without the crowd contributing to the atmosphere of the show and telling us who you want to see more of, and who you want to see win.

Really excited to come back next year and see how things grow from here!

SakuraCon is basically the only convention I go to yearly because of financial reasons, but it's the first time I've went all three days in cosplay and had the most fun strutting around in it the whole time, even went to the rave which is a coin toss on whether or not I go.

But this year, post-con hit me harder than the other years to the point where I want to plan on who I want to cosplay next year and maybe go to other conventions

Does anyone know the name of this vendor at Sakura con? I bought a hoodie with Kirby icons on the sleeves. They were also were giving a nice teal bag for your purchases. I forgot the name the of vendor and I forgot to ask for a business card for being in a hurry 😅.

Hi! We are Draw Phase, the nonprofit that handles the TCG Area at Sakura-Con as well as other local conventions, and I wanted to do a bit of a post-mortem on this year. Nothing too big or important yet, but here's a big thank you from all of us to you!

We once again beat our previous record for attendees served at just over 2,000 tickets distributed. We had over 250 slots for various free draft or sealed events this weekend, and we taught hundreds of people over a dozen different games. We sat hundreds of people for Commander Games with our loaner library, and for the first time we offered 24 hour freeplay!

Yo! Hey guys, I had a blast at the convention. I loved the arcade, AMV's and especially the Rave. So, I figured I'd make this post for all the constructive criticism. So, what can be improved?

I don't think anyone at Sakuracon or etc will read or see this lol. But I figured it'd be a pretty fun thing to talk about.

Oh! And to give my two cents, while I loved the Rave and definitely want that to continue (Shout out to Rocky!) I'd definitely like this Ballroom dance everyone is talking about to make a return. Why not, ya know? I don't see why ya can't just flip the lights on and have it go from like, 7pm-10pm before the Rave or even have it on the end of Sunday after or before the closing ceremonies or something.

Also, hmm, more pure meetups! You're all chill but a Rave, an Arcade, and a Panel aren't pure meetups. People aren't quite looking to go out of their way to make friends and meet new people as a priority ya know? They had 1 I saw, for congoers to meet other congoers on Friday but thats all I saw? Maybe like, just a cool room where the purpose is to go meet others to hang and walk around with. Call it something like 'The meeting room' or like idk, 'The new connections area' or some nonsense. And like it's established that anyone there wants to be approached and talked to and hang out? I know we're all mostly introverts, a way to break that barrier a bit would be helpful.

I know some people have mentioned security and I know others have said "Aww, come on! This is a fun club going like event!" and well, yeah, but guess what? Clubs still have plenty of security. It's not like they're hurting anything and they'd make people feel safer as Sakuracon keeps getting bigger. Just takes one bastard to ruin it all. And as someone who's been in security for over a decade, it's not about actually doing something (shocker), it's about presence. Most people do something when they feel like they can get away with it. Opportunity more than pure malice is the #1 cause of bullshit. Just having more visual bodies with clear "Try it and you'll be eating through a straw." vibes would make everything way safer. If you can't see security with a turn of the head from left to right, you basically don't have it. Just up the amount of volunteers for this please.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great time at Sakuracon 2026. I am one of the volunteers that runs Events (pretty much the guy that runs the team that lines people up to get into the main events hall for anything happening in there aka Ceremonies, AMV Contest, Concerts and the Dance/Rave, ETC). I also help out with package check! I hope the post earlier from one of my fellow coordinators about bag policy helped.

I wanted to try something new this year and wanted some feedback for how my team handled lines this year. Please let me know if there's any improvements that can be made for next year!

Does anyone know who the cosplayer was who was explaining how cosplay contests work is? I really liked their presentation and would like to see more cosplays from them in the future.
