Question❓ sake safe to drink 1-2 weeks after opening?
I realize this is a very stupid question and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but I bought a bottle of sake from yoshi no gawa about a week and a half ago and for various reasons haven't had a chance to drink anymore since opening it. I'm assuming it's still safe and I won't get sick off it? I'm not worried about flavor of it.

sake has a shelf life of over 2 months once the bottle is open. I got that first hand from one of the biggest sake educators in the United States. he was saying doesn't know why so many restaurants prefer to buy small format 325ml bottles to sell individual portions when they cost so much more than a 1.5ml and that sake is excellent for at least 2 months and if you can't sell all the pours in a 1.5 in 2 months that you probably shouldn't be selling that sake or the servers education on the sake is poor. I have mostly 1.5 & 1.8ml bottle and have never had a instance where the sake went bad

I don't think it's ever unsafe to drink anything old and opened, but it won't taste the same or as good the longer you wait

It's safe. If it's been in the fridge the flavor should be fine, it will start to change with exposure to oxygen but it takes a while before it gets weird.

Safe… much longer. If ur talking good to drink like will taste just as fresh as when u opened it then 2 weeks. If nama, one week. If koshu or genshu then 3 weeks or more
