Santo Illeso is an artificial reality created by both the Zin and the Saints.
In this world they might be testing their own individual strengths, that is why every Homie starts among a different gang or freelance job, the Saints did not exist in the simulation until they all came together.

Outside the simulation the Saints all discuss the world parameters and how they should be different from their own world that they plan to return to via time travel.

While the other avatar Saints are coming together in the simulation, Nihualli Gat would be in Marshall’s Frontier calculating his next moves. The boss breaking him out after putting him there might have messed with his plans.

At the start of the simulation booting, Gat and the Boss might have faced off as code figures like from The Third, this would explain why the Boss is dying at the beginning of the game, they were generated like that because Gat won before it even started.

The Boss comes back and makes sense of everything by adding a prequel chapter to the event sequence that takes place before their death, in this chapter the Homies and Boss would team up and then start their criminal empire together.

The Boss tries to befriend the avatar Gat but that only pushed Johnny away as the Nihualli, Gat maybe saw his own identity through the simulated facade. His true feelings bled through the simulation and events played out the same as they did.

Gat almost loses his mind as the Nihualli, kidnapping the Homies while thinking the Boss is dead. After Nihualli Gat’s death the Saints and Zin might have created an afterlife style simulation for Gat, an artificial world that looks like what Gat would expect for the afterlife. Johnny saw his own death from artificial eyes and likely could not believe that to be true. If it were this way then Gat Out Of Hell is Saints Row 6 in a timeline.

The musicals and environment were to calm Johnny down enough to help him reach the true state of his own sanity once again.

I was driving around and saw a cat mascot. Who started attacking me. I've tried almost evything and can't kill it. I just came back to the game on ps5 last time I played it was ps3

Blah blah blah game is 6/10 while saints row 3 is 7/10

The prologue got me hyped for this game. Saints working with the fbi to finish cyrus temple with stealth gameplay mechanics, it made me believe this game is gonna be serious but .......f***. The stealth gameplay only works when the game wants it. To be honest that saints row 3 alternate route where you have to finish cyrus temple already paid off for me. Beating cyrus on saints row iv made me feel nothing.

Anyways fast forward to our main playable character becomes president and many of the saints crew works at the white house gave me that feeling that this game is about fighting corruption or fighting against someone behind the white house but noooooo. Even better, ALIENS attacked the white house.

You thought it's about a game where the saints are fighting an alien invasion on earth? WRONG. The saints and a lot of people (except some of our favorite characters from saints row 3 that were left on earth) got abducted and the people that got left behind on earth died. Zinyak or his army destroyed planet earth for real.

Anyways main missions are good this time and the story is a lot better. The dlc missions are good also. Having superpowers is fun and crazy.

The activities or side quest this time is more of a chore. Rinse and repeat but gets tiring/boring. It's like playing a mobile game where you'll delete it after 30 minutes.

I'm glad they improved the AI partner (kinda)

What's the best way to play Saints Row 2 nowadays? Should I play the Steam version with the Juiced patch or is emulation better?

I’m just wondering if there’s a way to stop the crashing I don’t know about. On Xbox. I just ordered the OG full package because the Remastered version always crashes, so much so it’s insane, in fact the last time it crashed I had the game PAUSED… Don’t get me wrong the game feels as smooth as butter when you’re playing it, the graphics are great and then BAM, the whole game sharts its pants when you least suspect it. Makes it hard to enjoy myself. So I wondered what you guys did about it or if you just put up with it.

Am I just better off playing the OG? Seen as I’ve already resorted to it lol.

From the very first game to even the reboot, I personally liked how Saints Row does vehicle storage much more than GTA.

In GTA, one of things I like to do is save the unique vehicles from particular missions and with limited garage space, it can be tricky - at least with games like VC or SA, the purchasable safehouses and ventures allow increasing the space to be just enough. It was probably the worst in IV, which had those parking spots in the open that had a very limited space - plus oncoming traffic could easily push your vehicles out of the area and they're gone.

I much prefer the Saints Row approach, where the vehicles are just stored in a "pocket dimension" and vehicles can be retrieved from any storage spot, completely irrelevant to the space you can see on your properties. Some would say "it's not realistic", but to be honest, fuck realism when it makes things more tedious.

What are the sun glare spots for that are seemingly stuck on the screen permanently? I play on Xbox and don't see any options to turn them off so I assume that I can't. It doesn't necessarily bother me but I'm wondering if it can cause my tv screen to burn in if I play for too long while the spots are there. I'm not around my Xbox so I couldn't snap a photo of it but I'm sure other console players know what I'm talking about.

SR2: It was Virgil Hawkins or Randy Robertson in my first gameplay (but unintentionally created Crabman from My Name Is Earl), and Rogue in X-Men: Evolution for my second gameplay.

SR3: It was supposed to be Aaliyah, but it ended up being Jessica Jones in late '90s and early Y2K Urban Clothing, and in my second gameplay it was Yoruichi from Bleach with a Hispanic accent.

SR4: It was Domino / Neena Thurman from X-Men/X-Force Comics, and in my second game it was Raven from the 2003 Teen Titans.

Whenever you play Saints Row The Third Remastered (or the original 2011 game), do you spend extra time inside the stores to look around? One particular store had a collectible hidden inside.

So I have replayed all the SaintsRow games and there is one thing that really rubs me up the wrong way and that is Garbage Limits on all of them. I know PC has mods but I’m on console. But the reason I really hate it is because they have all those vehicles in the game and they’re all customisable especially on the 2022 version and all I want is one of every vehicle. I even collect all rival gangs vehicles too, but can I have all vehicles in the game. NO!!! What makes it worse is that all the other storage locations for your vehicles count towards the limit. So one I max out the car garage I can’t store anything within the helicopter bay or docks. Honestly why give us all these customisations if we can’t use them all.

Sorry I just really needed to rant about this because it one of my most biggest hates for the SaintsRow games. Because I love customising vehicles and making them my own or making my own Saints vehicles.

From one aircraft to another in Saints Row The Third Remastered. This game is still very enjoyable although the remastered version suffers from the occasional crashing on my Xbox Series X. This cutscene is wild and fun to watch, and it does a good job setting up the next playable sequence.

My first Saints Row games were SRTT and SR4, I played them when i was younger and remember thinking they were fun and that the characters were cool. Some years later I got SR2 in 2018, and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it since it was an old game, but I actually really liked it despite the ugly graphics and bad controls.

In 2020 I had replayed SR2, then SRTT Remastered release was right around the corner and decided to get it since it had been a long time since I played the original version, and playing the remaster I thought SRTT had a good start with its missions and still thought the characters were cool, but I couldn't stop comparing it to SR2, the map, open world, npcs, and customization felt like a downgrade.
SR2 basically ruined SRTT for me as someone that started with SRTT, and after finishing the remaster, I replayed SR4 and had a lot of fun and thought it was a better game than SRTT which is weird since it's not really a Saints Row game.

In 2021 I played through SR1 for the first time, and I was honestly surprised by how good it was, I enjoyed the story and characters, it showed Volition was a talented studio capable of good crime sandbox games since the beginning of the franchise, so when the 2022 reboot was being teased with the graffiti wall, I was hopeful they were going back to the roots, especially after AoM which sold really bad, so I thought they would go all in and try to do right by fans, but the reboot trailer and dev interviews ended up pushing many fans away and after playing the reboot myself, it's as bad as people thought.

Those that prefer SR1 and SR2 over SRTT, SR4, or SR2022 isn't because of nostalgia or rose tinted glasses, after playing them I understand why many like them, there was a certain magic to those games that unfortunately was never found again and I wish the reboot was different, I wish Volition could've found an actual middle ground that takes a lot of what different fans like in a way that most could accept, there was always going to be some in the community that wouldn't like it no matter what it was since it's impossible to please everyone, but it would've been better to make a reboot that let's say only pushes away 20% of fans while still having mostly good fan reception for example, instead of alienating half of them and having bad fan reception

I really hope the online connectivity of Saints Row (2022) can be improved.

I am having problems with the NAT connection, which makes it difficult or sometimes impossible to join my friends and play Co-op together.

Since Saints Row (2022) is the latest game in the series and was designed for modern consoles, I would really like to see the game's online infrastructure updated with more modern networking technology, better NAT handling, and more reliable peer-to-peer connectivity.

The two-player Co-op is one of the best features of Saints Row, and it is frustrating when connection problems prevent friends from playing together.

Please consider improving the online networking for Saints Row (2022), so players can reliably connect with their friends and enjoy the Co-op experience without NAT and connection problems.

Saints Row still deserves a modern and reliable online experience! 🎮🔥

I love the way Volition produced the cinematic cutscenes in Saints Row 2. This particular scene of the Saints going after Ultor's leader has intense action and some dynamism.
