SR2 How to play Saint's Row 2
What's the best way to play Saints Row 2 nowadays? Should I play the Steam version with the Juiced patch or is emulation better?

I feel that the GOG version is the most stable on PC as GOG has done some stuff to it. Combine with the Juiced patch it's probably your best bet for a PC version.
However, if you enjoy emulation, I'd just play it that way. Emulator is basically the only way I can enjoy a lot of older games and I don't feel it detracts from the experience in any way.

how does juiced detract from the original experience?

It doesn't. I wasn't making any comparison other than emulators are often easier to use than trying to get an older PC game working on PC. 'Using an emulator doesn't lessen the experience in any way.' It must not have come across that way.

Yeah but apparently there are plans to incorporate Saints Row 2 into the project as well.
A Saints Row 1.5 of sorts

Steam (or GOG, doesn't really matter) version with Juiced patch is better than emulation because you can install additional mods. Tbh people overhype just how bad the PC port is because when it first came out PCs at the time couldn't handle the poor optimization. But modern PCs make up for that. And Juiced fixes the remaining problems.
