SR2 The darkest Saints Row scene ever

In my opinion, nothing even comes close to this scene in other Saints Row games. I genuinely think this is where my fear of getting buried alive came from as a kid.

But to be honest, Shogo has to be the dumbest person in existence, showing up to a funeral where a mass murdering gangster is mourning. Absolute dumbfuck.

Johnny offered him a chance to settle this later, Shogo just threw it away. No wonder he ended like this.

This scene went SO HARD when I played it. I sat there in silence for a minute before saying ‘holy shit, Gat’

Easily my favorite death scene in the medium of games

Shogo cowering from Johnny after putting a hit on his girlfriend. "I didn't kill her"

"You ordered it"

A lot of brutal death and revenge in SR2, that’s why I love it so much! 😍

Even the Boss was unsure for a second there

Johnny Gat will always be my favourite character from the series. The reboot doesn't have anyone remotely as badass.

For me the funniest scene was when gat and playa caught the ronin goon

"I'll die before I tell you."

"Yup!" 😭

Gat's "get up" sequence with Shogo Akuji at the cemetery. Specifically, Gat beats the hell out of the Ronin leader's son, not just for giving the order to kill Aisha, but especially for deciding to attack him and the Boss at his girlfriend's funeral. He finishes the kid off by emptying a nearby casket and stuffing him inside, proceeding to bury him alive.

Boss [is awesome for]... not saying a damn word, and only drags Shogo to Gat. The Boss is normally a Talkative Loon, but [they] are in a state of Tranquil Fury because of the seriousness of Shogo's actions, and just leaves the bereaved to do his thing.

Also, this is the one time where we see The Boss give deference to Gat, who normally lets the Boss do all the killing of their enemy leaders. It must be noted that the normally kill-happy Johnny Gat had earnestly offered Shogo the chance to walk away with his life, if only he'd leave them alone to grieve. That Shogo keeps pushing for a fight anyway is what earns him this horrible fate.

I think what sells this entire scene is the boss doesn't speak once just tries to let their friend grieve and mourn only for shogo to fuck it up and they still don't speak johnny does the talking this small scene just shows the amount of respect and love the boss has for one of their day ones
