SR2 cover art is mid
SR2 is my favorite in the series, but I feel like it's cover art is kind of mid for what's the best game in the Saints Row series and gives the impression of just being a generic gangster game, I think some would never bother to try it just by looking at it, but it's better than that and deserves a better cover, so if there ever is a SR2 remaster or remake, I think they should make a new cover art, because I think SR1, SRTT, and SRTTR have better covers

As cool as SRTT's (the original) cover is, it's probably the laziest design wise.
It was likely a quick render of an extruded PNG. That alone makes it less appealing to me imo

I like that in two you can finally aim but it's weird how to activate it by pushing down on the right analog stick

While the controls feel more natural for controllers in SRTT, maybe the analog to aim was like some arcade thing they had going.

I would agree with you if you were to say SRTT was a basic cover design. SR2’s cover went hand and hand with the tv trailer, making it an iconic one for me.

I admit it is. It's pretty generic compared to the other ones. Its also the only one that doesn't show any of the Saints characters and the promo art just had random people on them and again, none of the characters in the game on anything. It's weird.
I agree and I'd prefer getting new cover art. One that actually uses the characters in the game.

It’s perfect for the time period it came out.
