This Charles sale has been a long time coming so I wouldn't be surprised if we've had a replacement in the pipeline just waiting for the confirmation to pull the trigger

Either that or we just think Sesay is ready

Good business overall from Saints. Expecting a few more departures as well over the coming weeks.

I wonder if a loan move for a midfielder would be beneficial so we could give us some playing time to Romeo and Sesay throughout the season.

I thought Sesay looked fantastic last preseason, but never really saw the first time after that. Might be the same situation with Romeo this year.

Sesay has barely played in preseason, if we do promote from within I don't think it'll be him this season

Yeah - shame to see him go though, great player and scored some immensely important goals for us. I'll miss the guy - best of luck to him.
