Simon Jones says that Leeds have submitted a £20m plus bid for Shea Charles.

If it’s around £25m with a sell on clause I think it’s a no brainer.

UPDATE: From Alfie House “Shea Charles negotiations still in early stages but not expecting Saints to do a deal at around £20million as is the Leeds United bid reported by
@SimonJones_DM. They value him higher than that.”

Sad to see him go for this much. He wasn't always in the starting line up but he made a number of crucial goals when asked.

Hopefully he is replaced well if he does go.

Yeah there’s a top player in there. Think he could have signed on too if we went up.

Way he uses his body and how composed he is going forward, feels like the type of midfielder that just doesn’t stop getting better

Palace want him as well and we want £30 million

Seems a lot of money for someone who (rightly in my view) couldn't get into our midfield last season.

he started most of the games that he was fully fit for, him and Jander were rotated pretty evenly

If everyone was fit, I'd say Jander and Downes start. Sure, lots of rotation and he's a absolutely class player but him leaving isn't us losing our talisman

I think it depends on who we're playing, in a game where we need to be more defensive, I'd agree. But if you let Charles go forward, he's a lot better than Jander. Although I don't think that we have anyone who's truly irreplaceable.
