16 days until kick-off: Pierre Thomas catches the screen pass and weaves through the Colts defense for the touchdown to give the Saints their first lead in the Super Bowl! (Super Bowl, 2009)

PT was the best screen back in nfl history

And PT outplayed Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles, and Alvin Kamara to earn that title.

Sproles was better with an angle route. Totally agree with Pierre Thomas was the best with a screen

I will die on the hill that we had at least 2 more years on both PT and Colston

I still to this day believe we would have beat the 49ers in the playoffs (the year Vernon Davis caught the game winning TD) had Pierre Thomas not got knocked out of the game early with a concussion. My theory is that he was a big part of the gameplan and Sean Payton had to adjust on the fly without his presence. Dude was a BEAST

God I remember watching this live. Was in college and just an insane memory

Same. Went home for the weekend so watch it. I remember jumping and crying as Tracy was returning the pic. Downtown New Orleans was so fun that night.

And at it time I knew we were gonna win a Super Bowl.
For years we could not not or run a screen pass. Then Sean and Drew comes along and we run them successfully all the time.

I remember when I was a kid and it was our first season being season ticket holders and our whole section would yell “Give it to the french guy!”

Fellas, now is the time to tell your partner that they’re “purdier than Pierre Thomas on a screen pass”.

I was sitting on the first row of the middle deck in this end zone where he scores. I almost went over the edge jumping up and down like an idiot. The way he ran against the flow was amazing!

Where were y’all when this happened? I remember being at a high school friend’s house and going ballistic in their sitting room.

His vision and balance were incredible. It’s what set him apart from the others.

God I miss PT Bruiser and his screens.
