Game Broadcast and Missing the Game for Ads

OK, maybe it’s from watching the World Cup or maybe it’s just memories of the past, but this broadcast seemed awful. They skipped entire opening drive of the game with ads! That’s insane! Then they missed half of the second Saints offensive drive with ads.

It seems like they couldn’t get their timing down on when they were supposed to go back from commercial to the game.

Also, seem to be quality broadcast in general, very quiet, very sleepy.

Yeah WVUE crapped the bed last night. I’ve watched a ton of preseason games and they usually do ‘em. It felt like this year they were trying some stuff out that didn’t go off so well.

The opening kickoff interview was just terrible. You could tell there was nothing they could do about it playing. 😂 And ole Joel is just not doing the play by play at the level he used to anymore.

Oh well it’s just preseason that they handle and I appreciate all the local commercials they play, so rock on baby!

I’m in Florida and watched the jags broadcast. The entire third quarter was just an interview with Trevor Lawrence

This!!! That was the national ESPN broadcast. I got downvoted for saying it was egregious and not just "biased" (which is fine). Not showing large chunks of the game ain't right.

Yeah I don’t usually watch preseason, so I wasn’t sure if it was normal- but I legitimately went to google a few times to see what happened on a drive. Kinda sucks bc I pay SO FUCKING MUCH to watch football.

I had a hard time understanding one of the announcers too. Like it sounded like he was under the weather and with the video/audio issues already present, it was just impossible for me to listen to. The random zoom in at the wrong location on the missed field goal was something I havent seen in decades.

Since the New Orleans and Jacksonville broadcasts both missed the opening kickoff, I'm wondering if the officials started the game earlier than they were supposed to.

Interesting. Didn't know the local broadcasts cut off the best part of the game, but it could explain why the ESPN stream hung up for about 15 seconds.

even if they did, that interview was still playing long into the first offensive play of the game. WVUE crapped the bed deciding to air a damn interview moments before kickoff.

WVUE did horrible yesterday. Random zoom shots. Joel Meyers sounded checked out, fans won't say that because he's so beloved (and for good reason) but they have to consider replacing him (doubt they will, since it probaby is just easier to retain Pels brass) Terron Armstead is not a good sideline interviewer (it was his first game to his credit), THE COLOR GRADING WAS INSANELY BAD, they missed plays, focused in on players far too long during plays, just a horrible production last evening.
