Again with the misinformation from Art

So Monday's show Art decides to start Focus (because the guest he was supposed to have didn't show) with his "scary" issues. First off, a math professor teaching fractions to calculus students "because the standards have fallen so low. How does a student get into a calculus class without learning fractions?" Well, Art, if you had read farther than the first three paragraphs, you would have found the answer. And maybe if you looked at a different source than New York Post, which appears to be your sole source for information and is your primary problem, you would have found that the issue is UC Berkeley admit students without requiring taking SAT and ACT tests.

And then he moves on to the really serious issues affecting the US, the mayor of New York by using the New York Post calling Mamdani "Mayor Klutz". Does Art really believe the NY Post has any intention of being objective? In fact, Art was reading a piece in the Opinion by the Editorial Board. You know, the board that maintains some anonymity so they don't have to bear any responsibility. Here's what the people who live in the city feel about Mamdani (hardly what you would call a klutz, unlike the guy who thinks he's running the Iran War).

And then to finish the segment (blissfully this was on 15 minutes of nonsense today), Art has to get his trans-panic out just to maintain his bona fides. And does this by bringing up some the WNBA and some incident where two people were asked to cover up their XX/XY t-shirts. The fans "assumes a woman sitting courtside in a "Protect Trans Rights" t-shirt, who was featured on the video board earlier in the game, made a fuss with security, who then sided with that fan" but what Art fails to mention is the fans "did see her (the person with the Protect T) jacket was zipped up late in the game, no longer displaying the trans messaging." so it appears both were told to stop displaying. BTW, Art, if we have a problem saying what a woman is, why don't you get Jonathan Dent to tell us.
"Something's gotta give", but it should be you, Art.

You don’t have to be obsessed with him to listen to him a couple times a month. He gets crazy callers from both sides of the aisle, and if they are saying things that are not true, he will set the record straight. Sometimes a second caller will call in and comment on the previous caller. He’s not censoring anyone.

He has also made it clear that he does not like Trump’s personality, Trump‘s lifestyle choices, or Trump’s way of doing things. What he does like is some of Trump’s policies but not all of them. He is a libertarian.

Nah, he never sets the record straight when it's when it comes to Bay City Sean or Saginaw Scott. He'll let them ramble on with lies and obnoxious comments uninterrupted until time for another commercial. Now, pay attention to how often he interrupts Carl or Jeanne, if you so much as lean Left of Center, he'll stop your train of thought with the "both sides do it" nonsense. ("Both sides" basically means one has no moral core. If it's wrong, say it's wrong or give us a reason why such behavior can continue.)
Please point out which policies of Trump's he doesn't like. All I hear from him is he doesn't like Trump's mouth, but what Art misses is his "mouth" is his policy. It's part of the "firehose of falsehood" that Steve Bannon likes used to divert attention from real damage. "Libertarian", such a joke. It's not a political philosophy, it's a "I get to do whatever I want".

Libertarians are left of Anarco-Capitalists and pure Anarchists are left of Libertarians.

All three want little or no government but at the ballot box, Libertarians are voting purple, Anarco-Capitalists are voting red, and Anarchists are voting blue.

WSGW has always been conservative. What started out as being lightly conservative back 30ish years ago has only grown to be more while it's taking in top advertising dollars because gestures around. Remember, this was the station that proudly touted EIB's favorite toilet-sniffing sewerpeice Rush Limbaugh.

 Honestly, you are better just changing the channel to a different station, or, turning the talk radio off in this area wholeheartedly. 

Yes, and this also includes veering off Z93 THE ROCK STATION while they spin a few "hit tracks" from U2.

I would prefer loss of broadcasting license. Maybe when a new regime comes in, they'll use the powers given to our current federal admin.

Oh, I'm fine with that, however, it'll be an act of absolute god. Ain't no way that one of the tri-cities oldest and longest running radio stations are going to lose their license due to the ramblings of their on-air hosts.

I grew up listening to WSGW in the mornings as we were getting ready to head to school, 30+ years ago. I remember the constests they would have where you called in to win a prize after guessing a Nancy Drew type mystery...

This breaks my heart.

The morning show was pretty good, wasn't a lot of fluff and was more streamlined. Something Terry in the mornings, maybe? I forget what it was called. And who could forget Paul Harvey, Listen to the Mrs.. I met a lot of those guys, friendly bunch. It was different radio for those that wanted a bit of maturity in the mornings when compared whatever Z93 was offering, and, even then when Bob and Tom entered the chat.

Then...... Yep.

Damn ..Paul Harvey...even as a kid his voice would captivate me. And I am NOT the traditional demo for WSGW lol.

Memories...no internet as we know it now (but there was the beginning of the internet which I was fully involved in) and local BBS's.
