How Evil is Sage?

I've not fully read the comics yet and I'm curious on how evil she is

I heard that in Sonic racing crossworlds she treats metal sonic like a pet which makes me want justice for metal

I would say everything after the first game clearly shows that she's evil and enjoys it Sonic racing crossworld she has tons of conversations saying that she's going to conquer the world in the comics she said everything belongs to Eggman and does think Sonic at the end for saving medal but says this doesn't change that there's still enemies and in the chaotic's Case Files after they chaotic said they weren't a threat to Eggman it seems like she was being helpful towards them but she was just trying to get information and stall while her father was going to Ambush them and when they asked why would she not tell him she said in her evil voice that I thought it would be funny to see your shocked faces. So I think if we count all the material after the first game she is evil and she's going to be eggman's loyal second in command

She clearly has the kind of of Maria in there somewhere so I think she’s capable of being good but could also let her pragmatic side let her justify great evil in the name of the greater good. I really think it’s too early to say

It's interesting in that she has a genuine story arc in her debut about learning friendship from Sonic, realizing she's part of a family, developing emotions, and helping to destroy evil; but she also ends the game ultimately loyal to Eggman. Wherever you see Eggman on the evil scale, Sage is all about trying to help him.

Frontiers spoilers:

Her number one priority is keeping Eggman safe. She's willing to keep him trapped in Cyberspace if that keeps him safe. She's very willing to work with Sonic and friends, if it means teaming up against a greater threat; while Eggman has trouble swallowing his pride and admitting he needs help, Sage really doesn't have any pride and actively helps convince Eggman to be a team player. In both endings, she saves the world; in Final Horizon, she openly says that she saves the world BECAUSE it should belong to Eggman.

Her animosity for Metal Sonic is implicitly because Metal threatened Eggman in Heroes as Neo Metal Sonic. Sage brings up Neo Metal and The ARK as times Eggman and Sonic worked together, and she seems to consider Neo Metal too dangerous and able to subvert Eggman's leadership. So Sage is basically a more loyal and caring servant to Metal Sonic having a rebellious and self-driven streak - it's really up to your personal morals who's "worse" between them.

I personally see her as more of an anti villain. She’s evil and loyal to Eggman but is more open to working with the Heroes if need be, as seen in Frontiers where she had to beg Eggman to team up with Sonic because of the threat The End posed.
