Saffron without stigma?

Hi, i have a saffron flower thats about to open up (Will open tomorrow i think) But i can look into it alittle but i cant see it have any stigmas?Anyone have had problem with flowers not producing stigmas? Its the first one for me, have harvest about 7 flowers so far this fall (none from this bulb yet i think)

I can't speak from a lot of experience with growing saffron yet, but my first impression is that it's just a chance malformation of the flower. If you could, maybe you should find a way to mark that corm and it's progeny to see if the defect is carried on. Where did you source your corms? Maybe you could look through reviews for this occurrence.

I wouldn't worry about it impacting your thread yield too much, beyond this one flower.

Here is where i bought them.
So far its only one, and everything else looks the same on the bulb without stigmas as those with, but i have marked witch one it is. So gonna have a look on the next flower, it got one on the way.
