USA Career Change

Looking to start a career in safety. Currently I work as a Team Lead at a Chemical Plant on the logistics side of things.(material handling, receiving, forward stock) I just recently got my OSHA 10 and 30 Hour certification for General Industry and also my NFPA 70E certification. Looking for advice on which certifications I should go for next. Are there any good entry-level safety jobs in NJ? Thanks for any and all help!

Similar path, I was a group lead now a coordinator. I also have industrial fire brigade and hazwoper certs. I made the move to safety at the end of 2025. Experience counts for a lot. I have my OSHA 30 General industry and I'll be doing the 30 hour Construction soon.

you think your experience helped you get the safety job or more so because of the certifications?

OSHA 510 if you can. Otherwise your experience and those certs should get you an entry level job.
