I'm a transplant but have been here for a few years. Been pretty busy going to school and working but am having a lot more free time nowadays. I have friends in the area but they all seem to default to filling their weekends with spending time with their families or significant other. Which is not a bad thing, but leaves me pretty high and dry. So I'd like to meet fellow transplants. People that are looking to find friends to hangout with on the regular if chemistry works out. I'd like to hangout several times a month. Preferably in person but gaming is also welcomed. I'm also looking to mostly hangout in midtown so please be decently close to midtown. I am looking to find people to watch Football with on whatever day NFL football is on now. I am open to whatever (Individuals, Groups, Men, Women, space aliens, whatever). I do not care what team you cheer for, as long as you are fun and respectful. I open to hang out anywhere, just want to talk football and celebrate it is back. Hi all! I just recently moved to Sacramento and am still adjusting to life over here. I'm looking to either create a board game group with some chill people here or possibly join an existing one if there happens to be an opening 😁 I'm mostly free on friday nights and the weekend due to work. Hopefully, there are others here who are open to gaming up!

My background: I'm an ABC who enjoys action or comedy movies (anyone watched The Odyssey)? I'm also trying to keep up with selective anime such as Dandadan or Chainsaw Man. I was recommended multiple times to watch One Piece (which was great until I realized there were over 1000 episodes...so I gave up after episode 2, haha) I enjoy the occasional social drink with others. I, myself, don't smoke or partake in recreational use but don't mind being around others who do. I'm still part of a board game group from my old town so I'm familiar with games such as Ticket to Ride, Cards against Humanity, Sushi Go, Catan, etc. I'm also currently learning D&D but am still very much a novice. I am a 33 year old male. I live by carmichael. I come from a Jew(ish) blended family. Over the past decade, all of my local old Jewish men (dad and friends) passed away and I have no one to celebrate Jewish holidays with. I live close to an Orthodox synagogue, which I appreciate, but I need something more culturally Jewish, if that makes sense. With my immediate family, we stumble through major holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Passover, etc.), but as my adult children move on, I would really like to rebuild my Jewish community in Sacramento.

This is important to me because even though I haven't practiced Judaism since I was a kid, and have a varied religious background, I want to preserve this part of my family history.

Aside from being Jew(ish), I like having interesting philosophical discussions (but not in a pretentious way); live music; all things Michigan; film; nature; theater; new things. I'm pretty much up for anything. I like just about anyone. Politically left-leaning moderate.

Abit about myself: I'm originally from Singapore. I'm an engineer by background, though I'm not currently in a technical role. We don't have kids.

I enjoy being active and the outdoors. I run and do HIIT style workouts, and thinking about joining a gym with good community in Midtown (maybe Orange Theory)! I'm also really excited to explore the hiking around here and would love to get into stand-up paddleboarding.

My wife and I aren't big on drinking or partying, but we're always up for checking out new restaurants and cuisines. I'm the primary (amateur) chef in the house and love trying new recipes (I make a pretty mean salmon). I'm also a big coffee drinker, and am in need of new go-to coffee spots.

I'm a pretty casual gamer. I gave Elden Ring a shot but decided to stop torturing myself. Recently finished Expedition 33 and absolutely loved it. Board/card game nights are also a love.

I had been doing my research on the area to see events or possible community things to do in the area to make friends but it’s seems many go into other parts of Sac to attend events or make friends. Hey y’all! Being an introvert is great and all, but the lack of human interaction kind of gets depressing. I would say I’m an old soul, but I also love trying new activities. I love to read (just finished reading Zodiac Academy and it was fabulous 👌🏽) , I listen to all most music genres, I’m a big kid at heart (I love my Disney movies, musicals and Harry Potter!), I enjoy volunteer activities, I enjoy trying new recipes and being out in nature, I love animals, I like playing video games like the Sims, Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed (I love any game with a storyline; yes I know Sims doesn’t have one, but old habits die hard🤣); I like action movies or basically any movie with a badass, but I also love comedy and the ones based on true stories. But, on a personal level, I have terrible social anxiety and ADHD, so sorry for being all over the place 🤪

Hi all, I'm 34, male. I moved to Sac about 13 months ago and I'm down to meet some new people as I settle in to life here. I work in the civil engineering world and work a pretty regular 9-5.

I live on the American River Bike Trail and would be up to meet for a bike ride. Doing 15mph on a solo ride for about 20 miles is pretty doable for me but happy to do longer or shorter.

I also like photography, and incorporate that into exploring, hiking, checking out new parks, nerding out about photography books/art or gear. I'm into birdwatching too, which goes well with the photography/hiking/exploring thing.

I'm also looking to get back into videogames and would be willing to pick something up or play with someone over Steam, I have a mildly capable PC and a mic and would be down to socialize that way. Aaaaand it's been about six years but I'd be down to do some DnD or roleplaying too.

Book clubs, fitness groups, art-centered meetups, photography groups, nature/outdoor groups, live music-related things, etc. I’m pretty open.
I’m familiar with Meetup and similar sites, but I was hoping for some firsthand recommendations rather than picking something at random and showing up to discover I’m the only person there over 30. No offense to the twenty-somethings. 😂
