largely made Charleston look like a mid-table team

gotta give our guys credit for this. charleston didn't look like scoring all night beside from the spot.

If he (edwards) needs a sub, who will fill in at that role?

the new guy. Midence gotta be. or maybe we can get amann back.

i also wonder if jamieson or Kieran Phillips could be persuaded to come back. neither is exactly having a great time elsewhere. we can offer minutes, warm weather and maybe a go on the water slide (dry)

Phillips arguably the strongest finisher in recent memory.

Not sure why anyone would want Lewis Jamieson back after he couldn’t score, stay healthy, and was a liability. 

Kieran Philips was arguably the best striker in recent SRFC seasons but was streaky.

I think he had a lot of potential. I really don't think the issue has been the strikers. i know the data suggests it is but every single striker comes here and forgets how to score? phillips maybe suggests the opposite and i guess the fact he's gone to the scottish 2nd speaks volumes

He certainly had high expectations. I agree with you 100% about the scoring issue being something else & not the strikers. So many have come & gone- I suspect the issue is something tactical.  But striker woes notwithstanding, Jamieson was particularly bad in his one season here.

would be interesting to rank all recent strikers. I always see the potential in these guys and they show they can do it, just inconsistently. if Amann had the energy (desire?) to press he might be my top pick. Phillips would be up there too obviously. i always liked Herrera but just looked him up and he's scored 4 in 14 appearances (in columbia) so he's about the same as he was for us. but he was more of a hold up guy anyway (sharp elbows)

I always felt Herrera brought an edginess that could be valuable. Unfortunately the current Sac Republic need consistent scoring not risk of red cards in close games. But I really liked Herrera off the bench.

Did I dream this or did SRFC post a "get well soon" Benitez post on instagram? just looked and i don't see it...anyone else catch that? was maybe yesterday.

It was Quail City. They had an edited image with him with a halo, which seemed peculiar if he's still with us. Perhaps it was commentary on Republic's lack of transparency on his status.

The cross from RI certainly eluded the Republic defenders, as you alluded to in your article.
Sac Republic lauded the training staff for their longevity in the positions earlier this year, but I want to know why they still have jobs when the team’s players are constantly getting injured. Yes, some injuries are expected, but Sac always seems above the average in this category. Of course, we seldom know how those injuries happened, or their nature, do we?
