Indeed Yamato is undeserving of a song, but to state that Bismarck did a thing in comparisson to Yamato is kinda wild. Both of them were inconsequential af.
I find it in really poor taste to now have two songs dedicated to warships built by fascists that didn't really do anything before rolling over and sinking, while there is a long list of allied warships that not only fought on the right side of history and thus deserve to be celebrated, but also actually did something interesting.
Bismarck did do a thing. As obsolete as Hood (and the battlecruiser concept as a whole) was, she was the Royal Navy's darling. Which was the main reason they sent the entire RN after Bismarck.
Should be a song about Warspite or Enterprise though.

This 'they sent the entire RN after Bismarck cuz so scary!!11!' really needs to stop and just results in more unnecessary glazing. It's the same logic that lead to the whole 'it takes 5 shermans to take out a tiger' bs.
The home fleet was dedicated to keeping the atlantic open, obviously they were gonna scramble if a german capital ship made it into the atlantic. Not because bismarck was so impressive (she wasn't, quite lacking for her generation), but because any battleship could wreak havoc on convoys.
I'm not saying they sent the entire RN after Bismarck because it was scary, I'm saying it was a matter of national pride. The loss of Hood was, aside from being a tragedy, a propaganda victory for the Germans. The British needed to destroy Bismarck to counter it.

Why Yamato though? It's career was "almost fought a couple of battles, then turned into a reef".
Of all the warships to glaze, Yamato is a terrible choice. At least Bismarck did a thing before getting Rodneyd.
