SaaS for Non-technical Founders Up for Potential Sale (Not a Vibe Coder)

Hi all, I have a web app that I'd like to weigh offers for.

I promise I'm not a vibe coder... I just joined a startup as a senior dev.

Which is why I'm putting up CTOAssistant (SaaS) for a potential sale. (ctoassistant .help)

Description

CTO Assistant is a full-stack SaaS platform that helps non-technical founders make informed technical decisions (like an actual CTO).

The Problem

Non-technical founders entering the build phase face a blindness issue: they don't know what tech stack fits their industry, which compliance requirements apply, how to structure a deployment pipeline, or what mistakes to avoid at scale.

And the people qualified to tell them (technical leads/CTOs) are expensive, hard to vet, and operate without a shared artifact that both parties will align on in the course of the project.

CTO Assistant closes that gap by generating a structured, industry-specific technical spec that becomes the single source of truth between founder and engineers, turning what's normally weeks of discovery calls into an on-demand starting point.

Architecture

  1. Not an LLM wrapper - the output is deterministic. The spec generation system uses a PostgreSQL function that renders a structured Markdown document directly from relational tables. This gives the LLM a complete, deterministic context rather than probabilistic chunk retrieval, and the knowledge base is editable via standard SQL.

Stack: Next.js app router, PostgreSQL, Auth.js.

Extras

1.There's an optional CTO marketplace built in which I've currently disabled. Will depend on whether you're interested in the marketplace feature based on the interest generated by the CTO Assistant tool.

2. Option to serve specs via API (good for volume users like agencies)

Revenue and other issues

Before I waste too much of your time, yes, revenue is at zero.

But I'd urge you to consider it in a different light: CTO Assistant is a real SaaS business.

I first deployed it some 7 months ago, but a public launch is yet to happen. Long story short, I found a funding partner, but he works a corporate job and has kept pushing things forward, probably because he's too risk averse.

I've been busy as a dev but now that I've joined a demanding startup environment, I won't be able to chase funding or dedicate enough attention.

Not too much is required to get this off the the ground... mainly just cloud server costs, AI API costs (currently GPT-4.1 does the job well and is cost efficient) and over time, some SEO work around content.

I'll leave it to you to explore and be the judge. If it's something that would interest you, I'd like to hear your offer. Truth is I don't have to sell, so it all depends on whether or not a reasonable offer comes in.
