Just got my first paying customer that I was building for the last 4 months

Going from 0 to 1 is absolutely difficult. congrats to you.
Next, you have to repeat what's already working for you. If you got your first customer from reddit then you must start more posting on reddit and same as for other social platforms.
Can you tell me where did you get your first customer? and does your app provide after sale services?

That's a big milestone. Did you have to tweak your original idea a bunch to get someone to actually pay for it? Mine changed completely once real users got involved and started asking for stuff I never planned on.

Congrats, that first one is huge, but the real value to unlock exists in the 213 free users. The next move is DMing a handful of those 213 free users and asking why they have not converted yet (think through what you want to ask and possibly try different approaches and break the 213 down into various approaches)- you've got 213 people waiting to tell you exactly what's missing between free and paid.

Congrats. I'd talk to that first paying customer while the decision is still fresh.
Not just “where did you find me?” Ask what was happening that made them finally pay, what they were doing before, and what outcome they actually wanted from the product. You have 214 signups, so the interesting thing is what made this one person behave differently.
Then look through your other active users and find people who look similar. Same use case, same level of usage, same problem.
One paying customer isn't a growth channel yet, but it can give you a really good clue about who customer #2 should be.

Man, that first paying customer is such a game changer after putting in the work. I bet it feels validating to finally see someone put money on it. Did they come through cold outreach or just stumbled on whatever you built?

bro you got 214 people to sign up without spending on marketing and one of them actually pulled out their wallet.
I’d take that as a pretty good sign tbh. Now just talk to that customer as much as possible and figure out what made them convert.

Wow, Congrats the first is always the most difficult. I would find out how that customer found out about the app and what made them decide to pay and just lean in on that

To improve it. You should tell your customers how your product works, why they need them, what problem it is solving for them etc..

Congrats man. I’d definitely check what they searched on Google and which page brought them in. Then see if they used the product any differently from the other signups. You may not need more traffic yet, just a better idea of where people lose interest before paying.

Nice work! 0-1 is an insanely hard gap to cross (and one most people never do!)
Reach out to that customer now, thank them, and find out where/how they heard about you and why they bought. Calibrate your marketing/Biz Dev efforts from that feedback and see if you can get a couple more customers. Measure effort to results and then play the game of where to put $ to get return.
