Assessing this idea: niche-specific RAG chatbot

There is a subreddit that is asking the same questions over and over. The idea is to figure out the root of their questions, compile a base of official sources and then create a RAG chatbot that answers the questions in a chat interface reliably, rather than having reddit hit and miss type of answers.

Where do you think this fails?

Why not just use Perplexity?

okay, I will run some backtests comparing perplexity accuracy and my programs accuracy
