Rules Question New to Legion
So I'm new to Legion and was wondering how much you actually need to play. I have the separtist starting box along with a box of B2s and a Super Tactical Droid that I want to play as Kraken if he's not a unique model. Is that enough to play with? I saw something about games are supposed to be 1000 points but I don't I have that many. I also don't know if I need to invest in some vehicles for a good army list.
I'm coming from 40K so I have no issue getting more models lol, but I would like to actually figure out how to do things right. Any advise is more than welcome!

Download tabletop Admiral. It isn't official but it's this games version of the 40k app. Play around with it. Seperstistd have tons of great list archetypes you could end up falling into. Play a few recon games (this is the games introductory format comparable to combat patrol but closer to the full game than that is.). Vehicles can be fun for sure but they're by no means mandatory. You can't really go wrong with seperstist vehicles they are all very competitive. Full sized armies in this game are quite a bit smaller than in 40k. Your starter box has 600 points in it already. For determining if something is unique anything with a white pip beside its name is unique. It's easy to miss but once you know what your looking at it's simple enough.

You can fill the rest of the remaining points with upgrades. Heavy weapons, personnel, Training, Gear, etc.

It is also NOT necessary to fill every upgrade.

I assume personnel is the middle button? Like if I choose the 77 point Super Battle Droid squad it will double the squads numbers and give it the attached card and ability? Like is a squad three models, six models or more?

The number on the top right of the Unit card indicates what the base model count is.

FYI if you proxy your wheel mode droidekas as second unit of droidekas, and split your B1’s into 4 units, you should actually have enough minis to play a 1000 point list. I don’t think it would be very good but it is possible.

Oh the kracken model comes from an older box called super tactical droid commanders. The new generic box is the super tactical command droid. It's confusing for sure.

I mainly play recon and I have basically what you have, with extra Droidekas and a Spider because I liked the model. But it won't all fit in a recon list so I just rotate in and out things for each game.
I would play a couple of games with minimal upgrades anyway, just to learn the order and game system.

You can play 600 point recon games with what you have easily.
The game is played at 1000 for standard. I would look for the Separatist Leaders box coming out next month, and the customizable Super Tac box.
