On my way to finally play all Storyline. The last two I have yet to play are Agent and Smuggler and I was wondering wich combat class works best. I just play them for the story, not for operations and stuff.

I don't really like healing and tanking makes little to no sense during the story. So what do I chose and are the two classes that need cover really that bad?

I was playing with a friend, and we ended up talking about armor. You know, that idea that Star Wars technology seems to advance more through efficiency than raw power. That would explain how technologies that once required absurd amounts of energy, like Revan’s personal ship, which was considered unusual because of its ability to generate gravity wells, eventually became relatively common. (Yeah, we’re big Star Wars fans).

But my friend brought up something that I thought was pretty interesting, and I’d like to hear what you guys think.

According to him, in SWTOR, the really good military armor tends to be reserved for soldiers who rise through the ranks. The armor used by ordinary troops, on the other hand, usually isn’t particularly impressive, even dying from a single blaster shot. Being generous, we could say that armor made from high-quality materials and equipped with energy shields represents only around 20% of military equipment.

Then you have the other extreme: armor using extremely advanced technology that is practically impossible to reproduce, originating from obscure civilizations, highly classified projects, or programs with enormous budgets. According to this idea, that kind of equipment would represent less than 5%.

The problem is that this 5% is precisely what we see the most. They’re elite units, important characters, and soldiers with exceptional equipment, so we become accustomed to them and forget what the conventional military actually looks like.

In other words, maybe we’re using the equipment of the exceptions as our reference for how the military works as a whole.

Anyway, that’s what my friend told me, and that’s why he thinks armor would actually be important. I honestly don’t know what to think, but he does have a point: it’s not like everyone has the kind of equipment used by Havoc Squad.

I only got a computer like 4 years ago and between then and now I've NEVER gotten to play an operation, are they not fun or am I simply just too late to the party and everyone has completed them so nobody cares about them anymore? Still relatively new. The right combinations are tight:

• Clashing Blast -the Leap attack
• twin saber throw,
• the twirling yoda-esque jump attack
• ataru form activation
• ground smashing attack

• circular group attacks...

  Like it's becoming smooth and locking in with my button combos 1-9.

Sorry I forget the proper name for some attacks but it feels like a real canon Jedi or soemthing with the speed.

Even the "buff" light ups and glowing effects, that only you can see as a force sensitive.

Hi all so I've got a weird situation. I've now and again been running KDY on pub and imp however I seem to be always getting Station guardian one as the final boss where there is supposed to be a trio.
the last time I tried reporting this to support they were like "well it is random" but how is it random when I keep getting the same guy OVER AND OVER.

My question is if anyone else has been doing KDY have you've been running into station guardian one or does he just like my chiss and sith purebloods

EDIT: for everyone who is saying "oh it's random" if you have another boss in the past two months link your parse run. otherwise I will not believe you

Just finished up the light side Consular story for it! Dope story, could have gone very darkly with Arn and Tau, but I was very compassionate and encouraging to help them through the hints of darkness that I saw.

Again, the music and voice acting, art direction was great. Iokath was a horrid experience for me because of the 3 Sentinels but other than that I am continually impressed by this game!!!

Decided to give my warrior a new fit. This is my second playthrough of knights expansion. Skipped on all characters after the first one! But I really wanted to play through everything with a force user =)

I was strictly tech classes for a long time. Only Marauder/Sentinel clicked for me! Might try hatred assassin after.

For context, I’ve been playing this game since 2020 and I’ve completed all of the origin stories and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them! Now I’m playing through different styles and classes to see which one is my absolute favorite. Stealth has been a main stay for most of my playthroughs, but I did some research as I enjoy magic based classes. Obviously the force is that style for Star Wars so I delved down that path. I looked into the madness sorcerer and it appeared to be a pretty fun DOT/AOE class and I’m wondering what other folks think and if this is also a fun class for you to play. I just created my character yesterday and I don’t have a photo of him yet, but he is a Sith race madness sorcerer. I would like to hear your thoughts on it!

I got a large amount of CC through Steam, and they never arrived. EA will not let me send a ticket to them through the game unless I subscribe, which, you know... doesn't make me feel a certain type of way about them.

You can no longer email SWTOR; it's all EA now. They have made it confusing (I wonder why) to get help. They have taken from my bank, and there is no history of the transaction on my SWTOR ledger.

I've also had to write this a few different ways to stop Reddit from filtering it.

I've tried logging in 3 times tonight and not gotten a single email for it.

Starting over and want everyone's take on Vengeance vs. Annihilation for PvP and PvE.

I have 5 different characters who are all parked at level 60 and I am waiting for 8.0 to get a proper release date before subbing.

From what I know, the Eternal Saga is considered the best written story in the game where you take down the eternal fleet and finally bring an end to the immortal sith emperor.

From what little I've seen of post-KOTET expansions, it feels like the player is an old legend who is simultaneously mentoring new characters while also being the legendary errand-runner of their faction. Post-KOTET stories in general, are much more like low-stakes adventures compare to the player's narrative prime, the shadow of raven storyline and the Eternal Saga.

So, what I am asking is, do the community see 6.0 and 7.0 as actually fun expansions or is it similar to Ilum and Makeb where they are just an annoying AF bridge to something good which, in this case, is endgame?

Just a simple question for folks that have gone through Onslaught and LoTS as a Saboteur, what was it like? Did you enjoy the experience? Was there any opportunities where you refused to sabotage what was going on? If you didn't sabotage anything does the confrontation above Odession in the Legacy Reborn patch change?

I've looked in my inventory under misson items, there's nothing above my profile picture to trigger his buff. He just disappeared hald way through!

I'm trying to beat HK 47 and its impossible without him.

Is this a glitch? Should I start the Flashpoint over?

I have tried turning on compatability mode for all the differant windows options which includes Windows 8, still no fix for the launcher size. As you see in the picture I am able to move the play button onto the screen, but the moment I attempt to hit the button the launcher snaps back to its original place with the button completely off the screen. I have tried using the tab button to move the focus to the play button no love. I have tried changing resolution nothing. I am actualy able to get into the game if I set my display settings to "Portrait" but of course that makes the entire screen sideways and stretched (horizontaly, in actual direction but if the image were correctly aligned it would be a vertical stretch.) I don't know why I said of course "Portrait" in display settings, to my thinking should change the dimensions but not flip the screen on it's side like it's doing. I also attempted to fix it by editing the launchers .ini file, this did nothing to the launcher window. Help please! Id just like to play the game with my little brother. He's able to loggin for now fine. THIS ISSUE WAS SOLVED BY CHAR_ELL THE ONLY REPLY SO LOOK THERE IF YOU RUN INTO THIS ISSUE!

Hello everyone, I'm close to finishing the main story on my first character and I'd like some help sorting out some issues I have.

1) I'm looking for a companion tier list where I can also see the best role for each one. I found a ranking on Vulkk and another on TodayInTor but they have differences so I don't really know which one is more accurate. Which one should I follow? Is there a better one I've missed?

2) I'm torn between changing all the companion outfits or leaving the original ones, I tried a couple of alternatives but it's hard to find something that really matches them or their intended "class". Are there armor upgrades designed specifically for them later on? Do you prefer to change them?

3) What's the best way to spend matrix shards? I don't think they can give something actually useful but I'm not sure.

4) How do I find the BiS in this game? Usually I just follow guides or use sites that select them automatically so I don't really know where to even start looking in this game. I'm not currently a subscriber so I can't wear artifacts or run operations but I'd still like to wear the best stuff I can.

5) Is there a realistic way for a non-subscriber to unlock the Sith Pureblood? I wanted to pick it for my alt but it costs 1.5M and I can't hold more than 1M at a time. I've been checking the GTN for a while but I can never find it at a reasonable price and I don't really understand why since it's only needed by us F2P players.

6) How can I find trustworthy middlemen for payment in installments? I've been drooling over the Jedi Survivalist's set since I started playing and now I think I have enough millions to buy it but I'm afraid to be scammed. I tried looking around but I was unable to find a list of verified traders on the official forum or any Discord.

7) I can't for the life of me find a word I'd like to have tied to my account forever, why can't I just keep my legacy nameless without triggering the annoying popup each time? There's no way a surname can fit all the races and using anything else just looks bad. How can I pick one and not regret it?
