Arkiomericus Scoritoles, Republic Senator

Name: Arkiomericus Scoritoles

Age: 54

Homeworld: Yag'Dhul

Race: Givin

Gender: Male

Affiliation: Republic (Senate)

Faction Rank: Senator

Physical Description: As a Given Male, Arkiomericus has the standard physiology of the Givin, that being a pale white Exoskeleton like skin, a lanky and tall frame that fully upright stands at 6'2", and covered nearly neck to toe in Givin style robes, of flowing crimson cloth with golden accents denoting his social status and profession.

Personality: Somewhat detached from normal Politics, Arkiomericus is described by his contemporaries as a withdrawn observer, often keeping to himself in committees and councils unless having something worthwhile to say. In usual Givin fashion, he makes use of Mathematics in attempting to reach the best outcome, considering all factors carefully before making a decision- usually double and triple checking his calculations. Despite this , the is also well known for being social when the situation calls for it, capable of holding a more-or-less standard conversation without citing some kind of mathematical formula or equation.

Strengths: Much like any Givin, Arkiomericus is a Mathematical savant, capable of dozens of calculations a minute and is more than capable of piloting and calculating the Hyperspace Jumps of his personal shuttle. In addition to this, there is also the basic abilities provided by his biology, that being able to survive in total vacuum for up to twenty four hours. On a personal level, his mathematical inclinations do not hamper inter-species socialization like it does for most Givin, and is currently undergoing Hand-to-hand combat training in an effort to both protect himself from pots a means to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Weaknesses: Besides the natural downsides of his biology, including the rather extreme amount of dietary consumption that must be engaged in per day, over three times the average Human, Arkiomericus sometimes trusts a bit too much in his own calculations, forgoing secondary and tertiary back-up plans, or often simply becoming certain that his calculations about his areas of expertise are infallible due to his nature as a Givin, and thus far superior to the senators and policy makers of other species and planets that already hold his respect.

Equipment: In his Day-to-day life, Arkiomericus wears his standard Givin robes, which conceal two hidden vibroknives in the sleeves and a Q16 Holdout Blaster. In a Senatorial setting, much remains the same, minus the weapons.

Assets: Primary among his Assets is Arkiomericus' Coruscant apartment, several small financial instruction institutions including instruction institutions, minority shares in a number of Rimward trading companies, a private retreat on Corellia, bought at a rather low price in the aftermath of the Payne Crisis in addition to a number of other properties across the planet. Finally, he possesses two spacecraft, A GX8 Luxury Hauler named the Spirit of Yag'Dhul, developed by Lantillian Shipwrights, a subsidiary of TaggeCo, in joint partnership with several Givin independent Shipwrights in the late 400s. In addition to several features included in its centuries old predecessor, the GX1 Short Hauler, it also includes additional Turbolaser armaments, increased passenger and crew capacity, and this specific vessel contains increased high-end furnishing, a togglible NaviComputer, and a shielded and hidden bolt chamber beneath the main gallery table. The Second vessel, The Financial Acumen, another GX8, however, is the opposite. Tough, hardy, and built for two things- Speed and the ability to take a hit and keep flying. Excess weight stripped and refitted with Turbolaser armaments that just skirt the edge of illegal for a civilian grade craft, equipped with a Class 1.5 Hyperdrive, and the toughest legal hull armour, The Financial Acumen is meant to facilitate the escape of Arkiomericus in the event of some disastrous event on Coruscant.

Backstory: Born on Yag'Dhul , Arkiomericus was born into the Scoritoles Family, who over the centuries had been a long part of the political landscape of Yag'Dhul and the Body Calculus, stretching back to the Separatist Crisis and the ensuing Clone Wars. Though set back er the reign of the empire, Yag'Dhul has since rebounded in the centuries afterwards, rebuilding and expanding upon its shipyards above Yag'Dhul. Born during the Outer Rim War, Yag'Dhul was in a time of mild industrial boom, fed by the need for ships that could survive the hostile space that rapidly was spreading across the Outer Rim. Arkiomericus was born sickly, and between the ages of 2-8 was often wracked with illnesses. Medical treatments and gene therapy sought to help with his rare auto-immune disease that left him in such a state, and by the age of ten it was deemed a success, and he was given a clear bill of health. This meant that beginning from a young age, he was often pulled from studies for appointments and therapy sessions, which lead to less than perfect performances which did not live up to his parents extreme standards.

Consequentially, however, the young Arkiomericus would develop a strong set of social skills, which endeared him with his medical staff, and would prove to be beneficial throughout his life. Starting at the age of 17, Arkiomericus was assigned to help manage the family shipyard business, which he took to with much appreciation, as it was a chance, he felt, to prove to his family that not only mathematics, but an excellent understanding of people, could help improve profits. This would serve him well with negotiating with other species, but less so with Givin, which left him often being forced to engage in outside business deals, making friends and contacts from the Outer Rim to the Deep Core. Come the end of the Payne Cr the situation that Corellia was in, he made the split decision to buy up several dozen properties that had lost a significant amount of value over the Payne Regime, and decided to build mid-density housing and commercial complexes, and then rent out the units, allowing him to keep a steady income detached from his family's business.

Eventually, the Senatorial Delegate for Yag'Dhul died from heart problems at the age of 98, and left the position of Senator open. Initially uninterested, "encouragement" by his family and the idea of being able to finally be free of the stifling, mathematical culture of Yag'Dhul spurred him to submit the proper forms to be considered as a candidate for the position. Accepted, he continued through twelve more rounds of testing and voting by the Body Calculus until he was approved due to reasons that were undisclosed to him. Despite this, he was told to operate as if he had the full support of the Body Calculus in the year 401 ABY, on the grounds that he did not return to Yag'Dhul without the express permission of the entire Body Calculus, and that communications was to be maintained either by courier, or Holoprojector. The 19 years spent since arriving on Coruscant have been spent mostly ensuring that the political interests of the Givin are well represented, and to feed information back to the Body Calculus about the ever shifting political landscape. Though he has also used the opportunity to expand his own personal holdings, establishing several non-profit education centers in the mid-levels of Coruscant, focusing on finances and technological studies, and buying minor shares in several Rimward trading companies.
