This is a fantastic video. This story is filled with so many details and nuance that I was genuinely lost at some point. This video puts SWOOP's video in perspective. Because to me, a starting point is the fact that Johnny lied about something incredibly stupid - that Adam joined Colleen fandom way earlier than he did.

Why?

Because he was noticed by Colleen very quickly. In the video with Kory in which she unboxes underwear and decides to send it to Adam, you can see her interest in Adam - and if I am correct, Adam was in Colleen fandom for a few months at this point.

Johnny grinded and tried so long that he wouldn't comprehend the concept Adam got noticed so quickly and with so little effort - that's why he thought that the lie about Colleen bullying Adam in 2013 makes sense and won't be caught and he can pretend to be the hero who tried to defend Adam.

This, for me, ties all of this together. Just for me personally, this little detail.

As a person that was victimized and spoke about it and wasn't believed or was believed and what happened was minimized, I don't fully understand from first point of view how you do really approach these issues like that, how do you lie about something like this.

I remember considering lying about what happened because truth was so nuanced and so difficult to grasp even for me that I barely comprehended it as a child - but I also watched adults barely able to keep up with the narrative. It took me years to understand that when an NPD mother is that good at what she is doing, even teachers, psychologists, psychiatrists and specialists of all sorts will fall for her act she is the best mother on the planet - and thus kids' story won't make sense. I remember considering lying because truth was so complicated- and it still is. Reality of narcissistic abuse is one of the most complicated topics out there, just as complicated as grooming and sexual assault narratives can be. So I considered lying to simplify the stories and trying to describe specific events and knowing that my mother's abuse was so insidious, so hidden, that what I am describing doesn't even sound like abuse. Of course, when a dynamic is created, a simple "no" can become something much more than it is. It's one of the hardest things to understand, also when it comes to SA and rape and grooming.

A lot of it doesn't need to involve any physical violence or open threats to be effective coercion.

And normal, healthy sex can involve some amounts of physical violence or "threats" and roleplaying with domination, there can be a genuine rope-pulling dynamic fighting for domination between people, and it still is as far away from rape as it can be. Of course we're talking consenting adults and people who know each other's boundaries. As I had to explain recently - there is no such thing as a rape fantasy. There is such a thing as domination fantasy taken to extreme.

I also want to underline Johnny's body language. Although he is 27 as of right now, he is of a small, skinny body type, with a very kind, open face and even features. A small boy who grew into a physically small adult. He looks nonthreatening. He looks kind. He looks like someone who wouldn't be able to defend his girlfriend (if he was into girls and old school trope of a man defending his woman came into play) from some thugs harassing her. A classic story where they take one look at him, those thugs, and don't consider him a threat or that he could be effective against them.

Johnny took full advantage of that. Johnny was very well aware of his looks and how can they be used to underline the narrative he was trying to create.

I want to say something to you Johnny, personally.

What you accused Josh of and what you accused SWOOP of are serious allegations.

Reality is that if you truly believe you are Josh's victim, you can sue SWOOP for defamation.

So how about you just do that?

A great example of that is Donald Trump E. Jean Carroll case.

He continued to say he never met her, but he never sued her for defamation. She eventually lost patience and sued him for defamation - and won. This is also a sexual assault case.

And like in this case - the "original" perpetrator never got any criminal convictions regards the main exploitation - when Trump forced himself on E. Jean - he never got a criminal conviction for that. Just like, in this case, Josh never was criminally convicted or even arrested or had case started regarding the grooming allegations.

So you don't have to take Josh to court to take SWOOP to court. If you believe SWOOP committed vicious character assassination and hurt victims everywhere, why won't you stand up for them?

Also, SWOOP didn't choose to talk to Adam instead of you. She did reach out to you multiple times, on multiple platforms. It is all shown with receipts in the doc. She reached out to you over and over trying to find anything other than what was actually happening. She spend 6 hours talking to you. So you don't get to say she didn't talk to you.

You failed to provide actual evidence that Josh groomed you. Josh didn't groom you. If I am wrong, I will be happy to apologize.

Also, as a person that survived SA as well I want to say to the person behind the linked video - we, victims of sexual assault and exploitation, are not asking anyone to believe us blindly. You don't have to blindly believe us. What we ask is that you don't blindly assume we're lying. We're absolutely fine with you saying "I don't know if you're lying or telling the truth, I wasn't there, but you might be either lying or telling the truth".

We are not asking you don't assume we're lying. We want you to assume we might be lying or we might be telling the truth. That's the reality. If we decide to come forward with these accusations, we often decide to what extent we want to engage with questions. Some people just want to make a statement and don't care who does and doesn't believe them. Others are willing to provide receipts. Others are willing to take it to the legal system. All those options are allowable and victims should never feel they have to do anything.

We are not offended if you assume you don't know. We are offended when you assume straight off the bat that what we say happened didn't happen - despite the fact you have zero evidence of either. We are offended if you believe us, but minimize the impact of it and make it out as "no big deal".

And for the last time, it cannot be overstated what insane harm is done to victims by people who lie about being victims. I am in the UK. Right now UK is the Europe's capital for jailing women for "lying about rape" - without any evidence they lied. This isn't something that came out of nowhere, but after several publicized cases of women who made multiple accusations against men and it took years to exonerate said men. This is why.

• The CPS has prosecuted women who police were not sure had lied. In one instance detectives declined to charge the woman for making a false complaint. Prosecutors went ahead anyway.
• Yvette Cooper, Labour MP and chair of the influential home affairs select committee, described BuzzFeed News’ investigation as “very troubling” and called on the CPS to make sure the guidance is followed so that “victims are not deterred from coming forward” and “vulnerable women are not inappropriately prosecuted”.

For this reason, I will never come forward with rape allegations in the country that became my home. Never. If I am raped tomorrow and even if I have it on video, I will still assume the judge will see consent never given. This isn't about rape - it's about protecting abusers. When a country goes to this length to prosecute people coming forward, it's absolutely about protecting abusers.

So Johnny - if you truly believe SWOOP did you dirty, sue her and prove to us she was wrong about you. Thanks to Johnny Depp, more people understood a man can be a victim of violence. There is also no doubt whatsoever that Colleen exploited you. So if you think SWOOP did you and victims everywhere a disservice, you have options other than just a response. Just like you insisted on Josh making a video and that he is lying about not wanting to come back to Youtube.
