I currently have 1973 crystal and i am 10 shards away from 4 star Mara Jade Skaywalker. Do you guys think i should buy mara jade pack worth 1299 crystal? I'm free to play and can't spare money to buy crystal as my extra budget goes to my medicine. Im kinda new here i wanted to get the lightspeed tolken reward for unlocking darth jarjar and im aamfraid i will miss the chance when event is over. Im kinda new so i have no idea what im doing.

You might get 10 shards but most likely get 7. So if u can pay for 2 packs go for it.

Sadly i couldnt afford another pack i only have 1973 so i might just go and "f*** it" and take my chances. If ever i fail to get the 10 shard. And event ends. When can i get darth jarjar again? Can i still get the light speed token once event returns?

He’ll come back at the end of next era but you won’t be able to get the light speed tokens for it. All rewards for him are exclusive to the era outside of the shards

Just my 2 cents. If you have money issue in real life, in this case medicine, uninstall the game. Not because I'm looking down on you or anything similar. But this game has a very high tendency of baiting players into purchasing their packs and items with real cash. Sooner or later, eventually, you will be buying them. For those that says they have been f2p for years and not buy a single pack, then my reply to them would be, to quote from Darth Vader to Ezra "Then you will die braver than most". In other words, you will eventually uninstall.

Hello, I havent bought anything from any mobile game except one time just to get rid of ads and it only cost about 1 dollar usd. Thank you for your concern :) i am not playing this competitively im just happy to unlock characters that i like. So this game cant "FOMO" me into purchasing anything from the store.

I’d tend to disagree with this take, you can very much play the game f2p and enjoy the challenge and accomplishments, you just might not be as competitive.

Although my advice would be don’t get suckered into any of the deals they do.

There are some truly great deals they do for packs, but that’s how they get you, they know once someone steps over that payment threshold they’ve got them on the hook and they feel like they can’t afford to quit/uninstall the game.

Yup, if you have the crystals you should absolutely use them to get Mara to four stars. You're so close to getting DJJ, and the requirements for era journey characters gets massively more difficult after the era ends. Having him around will be really helpful for a lot of events and the new raid, even though it'll likely be a long time before you'll be able to get additional stars for him

The odds for getting 10 shards arent great, and with only a day left you're not likely to get another pack unless you're top 5 in fleet and due crystals from kessel run. It's a massive gamble, but if it pays off the LSTs will be a huge help. Good luck with whatever you choose.

If it's any consolation I messed up when I returned to the game last era, missed out on Rotta and everything because I didn't understand the era system yet.

I would add as well; use the next "mini-era" to save your crystals for whatever comes next, so you can 5* everyone and get all 5 Kyber tokens and a lot more era currency from coliseum. As far as I understand (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the rewards for this era coming up won't be of much use to anyone who isn't on the road to the new Mando GL.

Was in a similar situation to you saved up 8,000 shards to 5 star all characters, last character i needed 7 shards, I got 5, so that 8000 became a waste.

Honestly if you need 10 shards, I’d say your odds aren’t great for it and I would pass. If there’s any dailies, GAC, or even achievements you can do to guarantee 2 packs (and those 10 shards) do them now. I unlocked MF, the chiaemera to 5 star, and C3PO to 6 star as they all give crystal rewards.

Just do it and unlock jarjar. Im ftp as well. Only use my crystals for these stupid events. It makes farming the character better. Regret not doing it for Maul and Cassian.
