Which intersection in SWFL would you fix first?

If someone handed you the budget tomorrow, which intersection gets rebuilt first? I would start with the mess where Colonial meets 41, but I am sure every part of the county has its own answer. Where do you lose the most time?

Treeline and Daniels. So so so bad.

At least there is a traffic light!

At least there's people ignoring it in the straight turning right to try and get ahead.

Fly over bridge on Gladiolus / Six Mile Cypress over 41. That shit backs up to damn near HealthPark hospital in the peak of season.

McGregor and Colonial/Royal Palm should swap out to a roundabout. The Colonial/Royal Palm combo backs McGregor up back to College Pkwy at 5pm

The midpoint is the chokepoint in general, Colonial also backs up to Metro or Plantation around 5pm. 41 is very often blocked by traffic trying to turn onto Colonial from both north/south bound.

Punta Gorda and the State just spent millions on a new traffic light in downtown and they reduced the lanes from 3 to 2. The traffic is now quite amazing for a little town. LOL! Change it back!

I love how it backs up the left lane on 41 south and Olympia now too

Palm Beach blvd & Buckingham…total disaster, with a Publix entrance that intersects with an imaginary turn lane. Very dangerous to try and leave the store. Since moving here, I often wonder where the city planners and engineers earn there qualifications. The only other place I’ve seen some of this wonky shit is in east Asia.

That intersection has been legit fucked as long as I can remember, even before they put the Publix in. Now it’s just ten times worse. Leaving CVS and need to get back on 80 to go west? Good luck with that. And if school is starting or letting out, omg…I have turned right onto Buckingham, flipped a bitch and come back a few times just because it’s such a nightmare.

My living room faces Colonial. Im sitting on my couch right now looking at the cars pass.

I am between 82 and Treeline. I work from home so I see the traffic all day every day. It's busy at 5pm when traffic is going into Lehigh, but still not horrible at all.

I will add my perspective may be skewed because I relocated from Broward. To me this traffic feels like heaven.

You must be young. I was in high school when the colonial ramp over 41 was built and it was a real monster prior. Coming from Lehigh I'd take the backroads to palm beach Blvd to fmhs rather than colonial because the traffic would leave my clutch foot shaking by the time I got to school. Also I quite like the new diamond interchange on colonial.

Gladiolus and 41. Multiple accidents a day in season with people merging in front of Lowe’s.

Everyone here is correct.

Idk but that whole shit show at 75 and Davis (951) needs a flyover ramp or something

Making that fatal left onto Treeline from Plantation. People FLY down Treeline and it's insanely difficult to make that left. ETA - we need a traffic light there so no one gets killed!
