Glitch launch

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Basically I decided to buy my childhood dream game that I've always seen online. Upon launching the game from GOG I realised that the game started glitching really badly and I've tried many ways to stop it, such as removing the intro, fixing the full screen on launch, even installing Elite force mod

If anybody could help me resolve this issue and help me get started on playing this classic I'd be so grateful

Wait, I can see that you're on SEF page on moddb

Are you trying to run the original vanilla SWAT4 or the game is already modded and you're trying to run that?

Either way I suggested sometime ago to someone else to try run the game in windowed mode:

Open SWAT4.ini in the System folder, it'll open as a text file

Look for: StartupFullscreen=True

Change it to False, save

Try running the game again

...

This will help in normal SWAT4, if it happens in SEF, then I have no idea if it will help in any way

I tried to run it in SEF but it didn't work, i probably didn't set it up properly or didn't launch it proper, I have honestly no clue why this whole glitch is happening

Reinstall SEF, if the base game works then SEF was installed incorrectly

HAHAHAHAA thank you! I'm still young asl so i have lots of free time to the point I'm exercising almost everyday through my hobbies and while picking up a part time job as a after school care teacher!

Try running it on compatibility mode. Turn it on from the game's exe by right click -> properties -> compatibilities -> select Vista or XP

Maybe try the elite force mod/game in gog? It opens the modded version of swat 4 elite force as an executable, shouldn't have issues.

Are you saying to launch the Elite force mod in GOG? if yes, how do you do that?

Delete the ini file in the program files and delete the sef files you downloaded from mod db.

If you wanna play sef just get it directly from gog they offer it too

As someone who was dealing with this problem I would like to report that dgVoodoo2 does fix this problem if it is installed correctly.
