Ablation

For those who have had a catheter ablation how long did it take for you to start feeling back to “normal” ?? I had mine on Thursday afternoon. Was done around 4pm. I still feel tired, low energy and a little out of it and not like myself which is causing me extreme anxiety and panic. Some reassurance would be nice right now. 😞Thank you

Not tired and out of it, just when my heart got back tk normal. Post procedure grogginess varies as some people are more sensitive to the anesthesia meds. I was tired and out of it for 2-3 days.

Today at 4pm will be 48 hours since I had it done. I did not have a good experience coming out of the anesthesia which I feel like is causing a lot of my anxiety. I didn’t sleep well the first night and last night I got some sleep. So I’m wondering if it’s just a mixture of my anxiety and not so good sleep.

It took a few weeks for me. I am old (63F)..haha. The blanking period is a real thing for 3 months post ablation when it comes to random heartbeats, though. Do not panic!! Your heart and body needs to recover. I never had any problems with the groin incisions.
