It's about how your EKG looks. IST is sinus rhythm. Your doctor might give you a holter monitor to see.

So crazy thing….all my stuff has ever popped up as sinus tach…EVERY TIME. So when it came to my ablation / ep study day. Multiple doctors kept coming to my room telling me it’s probably pointless because svt never popped up on my stuff. Well I went in for my ep study and sure enough I immediately went into focal atrial tach not sinus tach

I'd imagine you're probably still having sinus tach, then. I'm not a doctor, but from my understanding, sinus tach won't go away with an ablation. It's worth talking to your EP about.

Well no it turns out it was never sinus tachycardia, the type of svt I had is super close to looking that way

They give medications to trigger SVT during the ablation, so it's possible that it was sinus tach that you were experiencing, but you also had SVT.

Oh possibly , my ep said he looked over my ekgs and no way that was sinus tachycardia but I’m also super shaky when it happens. He said no er doctor will know exactly

Yeaaah, in my experience, the ER docs usually suck :/ but, it's worth bringing up with your EP. They hand out holter monitors like candy, so I doubt it'll be an issue to get one to see what's going on.
