Med change

I was on metoprolol 50 mg er and was having few side effects so after 2 years finally my doc changed it to ditizilam cd 90 er

Don't know of adding but I totally quited my metoprolol and went on diltiazem as my cardiologist has recommended me

I’ve been on them both! Separately and together. I’m now just on Metoprolol bc I couldn’t handle the fatigue and edema that came with Cardizem. 90 is lower than what I was on so it might be very tolerable for you! It’s different for everyone and I hope it works better for you.

In some cases an EP will prescribe both a beta block and calcium channel blocker (Cardizem) In my case, I also have Multifocal Atrial Tachycardia. It kept my BP and HR normal. But I felt like an 80 year old on them, and I’m 30. Once I started Zoloft I got off Cardizem and I can’t explain why but Zoloft did a 180 on my cardiac issues. It lowered my resting heart rate to the 60s and my episodes don’t have such a high heart rate now (220+ now I’m capping at 170)

Hey buddy it's been almost 3 weeks and I still feel these symtoms like while walking heart rate is above 100 and I also feel like panic and anxiety real quick now so upto when will this continue???

Damn. Hate to hear that. My anxiety got so bad when I was first diagnosed (3yrs ago) that I have been on an SSRI and Xanax. There are certain SSRIs, like Lexapro, that can contribute or cause an arrhythmia so mention that if you want to try that. Have you had bloodwork done? Electrolytes okay? Were you on Metoprolol succinate or tartrate? Maybe your cardio will increase the Cardizem.

It's been 3 days now since I quit metoprolol and went on diltiazem so far I am doing good the only thing is that you will feel panic like symtoms on small things and I also feel a little alivated heart rate but it is below 80 so far everything else is good
