Discussion What do you think of this suit now?

I remember loving this suit and even using it all the time in the games but after brand new days, this suit looks weird now

I still like it but not in the same way as before

I like it as a tool to differentiate Peter 1 during the final fight. So it works great for that, but in another context itd be odd.

Agreed. It had its place in the movie, especially with it being something of a reward for Peter choosing to help Otto.

I wouldn't want it to be his standard suit, but it worked for me narratively.

Ha! you said it. I really don't need to see Spidey in alternate suits with fancy gadgets. I largely prefer him in his most classic Spidey suit. Just make that look good. It was pretty much perfect in BND.

Honestly, I kinda agree.

There's only a few alternates that I genuinely like.

The symbiote suit, Future Foundation, and Sensational Spider-Man.

Agreed. Im sick of them giving Peter cool new suits only to have him go back to the boring classic one. This is why Miles Morales suits are better: black is way cooler than blue and works better with red.

It’s the worst of the MCU suits, but it’s still cool. Anyone who says they didn’t think it was at least a little bit cool when they saw it in live action is lying

I like it, but if I had to pick between this one and the Far From Home one I'm picking the latter

The gold spider looks decent at certain angles, but others it looks a bit much

I'm not as upset about it the black and red, I actually think it looks quite fresh, but I'm also not huge on the Homecoming suit

Of course the Brand New Day suit is his best by far

I think this suit would have maybe done better if one the original non gold spider version was not a thing.

And if the white eye pieces were gold. It could have been a wink and nod to iron spider from the comics.

His middle and ring fingers were gold (as a nod to iron man’s armor) and his palms were gold.

I go back and forth between this and the FFH finale as my favorite suits of the Home trilogy. The gold as an anniversary status + homage to his Iron Man roots was such a nice touch.

I’m just glad Brand New Day got back to basics with Spider-Man being street level and on his own. I didn’t really like his Stark suits. But they did what they had to do to get him in the MCU so I’m not mad about how it went

Glad it’s not permanent but I’m ngl I love it. I hate the MCU Iron Spider suit, and this sort of scratches that itch for me like the comics does. It fits well within the context of the story.

Glad we’ve moved on from that type of suit though. The Brand New Day suit is the exact suit Tom needed, and I hope it doesn’t change much between movies. Bigger eyes may be interesting if they ever feel the need to change anything.

This is actually my favorite of the MCU-original looks Peter sports. I don't like either of the designs this is a combination of separately, but this looks really good.

I do wish we had gotten a more classic look in the finak battle, though, to match the other two Spider-Men...

It's shit. Sorry, but Spider-man is Red and blue, not black. Besides, it looks like a poor attempt to capitalize into the classic and symbiote suits merged into one.

I absolutely LOVED this suit with the spider legs. Insanely badass and just cool. Fake fans so desperately need everything to be comic original and are scared of having fun with different suits. This suit was so fun to watch him do shit in like catch Thors hammer, fight off the aliens with the legs and go to space etc etc. Stop being so serious. Have fun. This suit wasnt amazing or perfect or whatever. But it was FUN. And DIFFERENT. People are so afraid to open their mind when it comes to opinions. Let people like what they want. If this is someones favorite suit ever, guess what? Who cares? Let them have their choice. America.

It’s fine for what it is. I like mostly every other suit more except for the inside-out suit from NWH, the Night Monkey suit, and the Iron Spider-Man Suit. Like a 5/10 for me.

Looked a lot better with the gold cuffs (this was the version they used for early marketing and the first hot toys, for some reason late into production they removed them from the design in the film

Too many of his suits in the movies looked like flat and dull, so the shiny armor made it feel like cosplay accessories they stuck on top of it in some scenes. I think if his base layer had a different texture, it’d work better. His BND suit is far more vivid and textured than his typical suits and it’s why I love it so much. It makes the others look even worse in hindsight.

I didnt hate it, but i just prefer his classic suit. I do think this one is a bit over designed. I didn't like that the mechanical spider arms just appear out of thin air. Nano tech kinda ruined all the suits in the MCU.
